Was a little crowded at one point as they had three big groups in, but they managed the breakfast sittings well. Good food in the packed lunches and for dinner was very good

Very clean, pleasant accommodations. Staff was friendly, and helpful if you needed any sort of assistance. Great place to stay, walking distance to most shops and bars with one inside of the Hostel itself

The students stayed in dorms which served the purpose and were clean with shared showers. Staff had comfortable rooms on the same floor or better rooms in the hotel above

I would definitely stay there again, but would probably inquire into getting a private room

Terrace was nice to enjoy morning coffee and evening drinks. Very easy walking into downtown. Good value and great place to stay

The front staff were friendly and always available. The room and all bedding were clean. The bathrooms were of a public restroom style and the showers were in a locker room style

My only complaint was that the breakfast didn't have a ton of variety but at least the food they had tasted good

This is an old school hotel full of charm. The room was a bit old but really beautiful. The rooms have physical keys rather than cards to show how old. The location is close to most of the good sights

Great location, close to lots of restaurants and most of the main tourist sights - but on a reasonably quiet road so you feel out of the city centre. Very good service and helpful staff

The room was small, the bedding wasn't very clean, and there were no power outlets by the bed, only USB ports, which was inconvenient

We had a room with two beds. The room was very clean and new. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. You can also see the Northern Lights from the hotel. The breakfast is also very good.

Major South Coast attractions like Seljalandsfoss waterfall and Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach are all within an hour's drive. The location is simply unbeatable

The newest hotel on our Iceland adventure, it opened in July 2025. You walk in and can smell how new it is. very modern facilities, spacious rooms, a comfortable bed, Smart TV, and a very complete breakfast

It’s dark enough in the area to see the northern lights when they are visible, though I recommend driving like 1-2 km away from the hotel where it’s especially dark

The hotel is conveniently located right off Route 1 in the town of Hvolsvöllur, making self-driving and parking a breeze with free, easily accessible parking

Super convenient location! Can walk to airport and car rental. The service was good and the double room was comfortable. One suggestion (6th floor): when laying in bed, there was no place to plug in a phone.

Very close to the airport terminal. Breakfast starts from 4am. It is very easy to catch early flight. Bottom of shower screen is not sealed, water can run into basin and toilet area.

The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the KEF Airport of Iceland and offers breakfast from 4:00 am, which is a great convenience for travellers catching early flights. The room was spacious and clean

Food in the restaurant is fresh and delicious, reasonable price in Iceland and also great services and extra long opening hours for flight guests

Huge plus point was the early breakfast hours from 4am for those catching AM flights out and mind you, not just cold cuts and bread but with hot scrambled eggs n beans etc

Only 5 min walk from Airport. But if it rain, the walkway becomes very wet. So it s so hard to darg our luguages.

We enjoyed our one night stay in June. Yes the place looks a bit older, but we were very happy and comfortable. Staff was excellent and friendly. I wish we would have eaten dinner there. It looked and smelled so good

I’d stay there again The furniture and carpet is dated but otherwise it was a very nice stay. The staff was nice and spoke English well, the room was comfortable, and the meals (dinner and breakfast) were good

The only reason I gave one star off for comfort is because our room was directly above the entry door and people hung out below, and it was a little loud at times other than that it was a wonderful experience with delicious food at the restaurant

A shop with hand-made items is adjacent by a gas station, which was a fun stop. Breakfast had more options than most others that we experienced, and the elevator was also very convenient

Stayed here for two nights and booked two rooms in preparation for a wedding. Excellent accommodations and dinner at the restaurant was very good. Loved the spa and steam room.

It’s really cozy and they have their restaurant. The room is so clean and cozy. They also have sheep’s goats and Icelandic horse that you can visit.

Each room is a standalone house, and all the amenities are great. The privacy is excellent, and there's even a small swallow's nest – perfect for a vacation!

We booked this last minute on our day in the Snæfellsnes peninsula and boy was it a good choice

Parking area is spacious, easy to park. Hotel is located near to tourist spot Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Hotel buffet breakfast is very good. Alot of handmade cookies and cakes, fresh fruits and local meal

The room doors are still opened with keys. There are many animal specimens in the lobby and restaurant

We loved the spa on the patio and we ate at the restaurant in the hotel and had a great meal. They even had a vegan option (one of us is vegan) made with vegetables from Icelandic greenhouses

Rustic hotel with very thin walls. Impossible to sleep without earplugs when your next door neighbour is snoring! Luckily the earplugs are provided from the hotel and can be found in the room

The beds were comfortable and it was a quiet area

If you have a room on the first floor you might want to pack a small overnight bag. It is quite risky to try to haul a 20+kg big suitcase up these very steep and small stairs

Very beautiful guesthouse with all the amenities you need and clean. Only one washroom in the home to serve 3-4 rooms though, which can become a bit frustrating.

Very nice guest house. Super clean. Quite small for three people. Our recommendation is to add window screens to limit flies.

The room didn’t come with a hairdryer which is a necessity in Iceland. It’s cold out and wet hair isn’t ideal for cold weather. The free breakfast was good and had a variety of selection

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The room was comfy and the staff very helpful, but the location and view were what truly stood out

We even saw northern lights just outside the room, quite an incredible experience!

The only issue is that the 'sea view' room doesn't really have a sea view. It overlooks a patch of grass, and the sea is very far away, about a 20-minute walk. You basically can't see the sea from the room

The bath products used were SOLEY, an Icelandic brand, which were very comfortable. The room and breakfast were excellent. We even saw the Northern Lights from the hotel, exceeding our expectations! Highly recommended!

Superb hotel and service. Breakfast was amazing. 11 out of 10 if there was a treadmill in the gym. Outstanding view in the wellness centre. Dinner was also amazing (Duck Salad & Beetroot main dish)

Facilities include two saunas (one public and one available for private rental) and a small workout room with barbells and a yoga mat. The restaurant served good food — the menu is not huge but the quality is very solid

It was easily located via google maps and had a seamless self check in with a parking spot waiting for us. The cabin itself was so cute! Clearly modern Icelandic design that is thoughtful and practical

We saw the aurora during our one-night stay from our room, it was fantastic! The cabin was also lovely, with a perfect view in the morning.

Aurora cabins lived up to their name! We were able to catch the lights the night we stayed (and it was the only time we were able to during our vacation)! In regard to the lodging itself - we loved how close to ring road the cabin was

We were comfy, warm and had what we needed. We saw the Aurora really clearly as there was no light pollution, it was amazing! The cabins are situated in such a beautiful spot with awesome views and horses nearby

Nice hotel! Their chef is one of the best hotel chefs in Iceland. Even though every hotel seems to have the same breakfast buffet. Here it was cooked properly and with love.

If there was a 7🌟 option- THIS place deserves it! Thank you too all staff- ESPECIALLY Kathey- there was a mixup in our reservation with Expedia, we had been exploring for 15hrs after traveling for 8hrs and we had been up for 30ish+ hours

Their breakfast buffet is exceptional! The variety is above what I have seen at most complimentary breakfasts with eggs, sausage, bacon, fish, oats, cheese, toast, toppings, hot beverages and sooo much more

This hotel is an excellent place to arrange an overnight stay the night before flying out

Near a darkened headland as well so if the Northern lights come out, it's only a few minutes walk away from the back door to get a perfect view over the ocean, which may have been visible from the rooftop sauna too

It is located only 5-10m away from airport and was the endpoint for us after a private tour of iceland, making it a very simple matter to get an early flight the next morning

The view from the window of this hotel is particularly good. If the weather is good, you can soak in the hot spring pool on the rooftop and watch the beautiful sunset

There is also a free airport drop-off service that takes only 8 minutes to get to the airport. The restaurant food is also very good. I was very satisfied with the accommodation experience

“Bus stop 1” is just a few steps away and serves as a pickup location for most tours as well as easy airport transportation via Flybus. However, the absolute best part about our stay here was the staff

Hepburn is a very quiet town, so this hotel is quite good in comparison. It's an older-style hotel with no elevator, only stairs. By 7 or 8 PM, there were no supermarkets open for shopping

The room is very small. The facility is quite old as well. But the breakfast is good!

The rooms are located in separate buildings outside of the reception area, much like a villa-style business hotel. However, there are no elevators, only stairs, so you'll need to carry your luggage yourself.

Good hotel, quite centrally located, with ample parking right on site. I really enjoyed the breakfast, but the seating there was a bit awkward – you sit too low and it's too soft.

Good breakfast and interesting trivia’s of Iceland can be found on the main hall walls and stairs. There is 1 washer and 1 dryer which are free to use for hotel guests.
