Residence Hotel La Taverna in Capo Vaticano

Nice bungalows. The greenery is well maintained. Ok - the pool. On the sea side it is very scenic. Disorganized. Restaurant hours for breakfast start too late. Pool bar at inconvenient hours and closed for lunch. Far from the sea!

Very nice structure in a wonderful location, Capo Vaticano is truly a magnificent place! The problem lies in the management, the managers don't even deign to greet you and are always ready to reproach you at the first opportunity. Shall we talk about housing? We stayed in the villas facing the pool, we were told that the decor is a little more dated than the apartments above but we didn't believe up to this point! Shaky fridge, kitchen curtains all detached, a broken garden chair, a wardrobe drawer that opens only after closing the doors, a fixed bathroom shower with barely warm water and only at certain times because otherwise there isn't even that!! Obviously in such a place you hope to find adequate cleaning? FORGET IT. Luckily we met a group of wonderful entertainers who made our holiday magnificent, non-invasive but always ready to satisfy our every request, making us all feel like a big family! Thank you Red animation for saving our vacation!!! PS: pay attention to the price, comparing ourselves with other guests we have discovered that for the same treatment there are those who have paid even 3 times less.

I'm gonna start with the big plusses of the location, namely the pool, the helpfulness of the reception's staff and the way the cleaning service is performing their task. The room and toilet were clean at our arrival and have remained that way for our entire stay.

Nevertheless, there are some drawbacks which are worth to be mentioned. Both of our beds were very stiff and uncomfortable, we couldn't rest well. The thickness of the walls seems to be to thin, from above our bathroom we could hear everything from the upper floor. If you get a bit unlucky with your neighbors ( unmannerly people from south who tend to speak load at 7 a.m.), then you are most likely to be woken up by the noise upstairs.

At the reception, the breakfast is advertised to be served from 08-10 a.m. If you don't get up early in the morning you, you won't find enough food. They are handling the refilling of the empty plates only in the first part of serving hours. In the past it seems that others have witnessed a more diverse breakfast. However, during our stay that was not the case.

At their own restaurant, the dishes are tasty but you have to go for the oil/ vinegar/salt by yourself, that's the internal policy.
