A good hotel if you want a resort-style holiday by the marina, with easy boat/train connections and don’t mind spending more on food. For younger/budget travellers it felt too remote and restrictive, but that’s more about the location than the hotel itself.

- Staff & Service: Really kind and helpful, especially reception staff and Luigi at the pool bar. When we forgot to book a transfer and couldn’t get the train due to a late flight (all quotes were €200+), the hotel organised one for us at a much more reasonable rate.

- Apartment: Clean, spacious, with a beautiful terrace and stunning bay views.

- Shuttle & Transport: Free hourly shuttle with a friendly driver. Last return at 10pm, but the 15-min walk via steps was easy enough. Great train links to Sorrento, Pompeii, Vesuvius and Napoli. Boats to Capri, Positano, Sorrento depart right outside the hotel.

- Beach & Poolside: Beach was rocky but lovely (sea shoes recommended). Beach toys/inflatables available. Drinks reasonably priced—cocktails good value.

- Tennis: Free grass court (worn but playable), rackets and balls provided.

- Resort Feel: Good if you just want to lounge around pool and beach and eat/drink in the hotel.

Cons:

- Pools: Misleading advertising—only one usable pool (a saltwater pool in the beach club), open to the public and with no shallow end. The other pools shown belong to the spa and to use them cost extra.

- Food & Costs: No supermarkets nearby, local restaurants pricey. Hotel breakfast €18 per person, way too much for continental. Limited snack options, only at short lunch service. We ended up going to a minimart at the nearby campsite for cheap croissants and snacks.

- Accessibility: Without a car, the steep walk to Vico Equense centre make it tough. Location felt remote and a bit “trapped” in the marina.

- Hotel Access: Once returned from Sorrento to find the entire hotel shut off—no driveway or entry access until someone eventually let us in once we started to climb the fence in desperation!. Concerning for people arriving from late flights.

- Beachside Tennis Courts: The advertised beachside court was unusable (no net/markings, just a patch of dirt).

- Beach Restrictions: Lifeguard wouldn’t allow use of paddle boards, despite being stored with the inflatables.

- Drinks Pricing: Odd that wine, beer and spirits cost the same as cocktails, If not more expensive ?

It's a beautiful place. Under a cliff, with a huge and the perfect Spa area. The sea beach is in front of the hotel. The outside restaurant has a great view on Vesuvius. On the reception they have Giulia, who can resolve many problems.

Got free uograde with balcony facing sea. Lovely hotel and great location just 5 minutes from train station. Room rate was reasonable. Breakfast had decent selection as well. Would recommend if you are looking for a nice clean hotel in Sorento city centre close to station.

When we arrived at the hotel, our apartment turned out to be dirty and not cleaned at all. There was dust everywhere and cobwebs in the corners. The bathroom was terrible – the grout was orange in the corners and there was black mold. At the end of our stay, we were shocked to find out that we had to pay €850 for cleaning after us, even though nothing like this was mentioned when we booked the hotel. Bed linen and towels were only supposed to be changed once a week, but for us they did it just two days before our departure. Overall, it was a horrible experience – I definitely do not recommend this place.

Beautiful resort by the seaside bay of Vico Equense. Nice and quiet, far from crowded Sorrento. Perfect for "total relax" holidays without going anywhere but the beach. Great views of the Bay of Naples with the Vesuvius on show. The little seaside location has a few bars and restaurants but there's a shuttle to Vico Equense on the top of the cliff. Rooms are Mediterranean white and I recommend to book one with sea view. Bar, restaurant and beach are big enough for the resort but I assume September is quieter than mid-summer.

We stayed in the apartments they were basic but clean and pretty. The beach was wonderful as well as the pool. It would be hard if my grandbabies came because there isn't an area for littles in the pool (too deep). However we will return because it really was a great place to stay.

We spent a couple of weeks at the hotel with the family and 2 children of 3 years old and if you’re thinking to go there with children I tell you don’t go. The location is beautiful, it is in the costiera sorrentina where hardly there is an ugly place. Rooms are nice maybe a bit small, but the service and how guests of the hotel are attended are not worth the price. Swimming pools are not accessible to children but only one day a week, so if you’re thinking to have some time relaxing with your children at the pools forget about that. Funny thing the day we were allowed to go they said there were no beds available and we needed to book them in advance, so a fight to get them. They even tell you “but it’s written in the email”;cmon who ever thinks swimming pools are not accessible to children as in every place in the world children enjoy swimming pools a lot. Breakfast is good but you might fight a bit to get waiters attention. Lunch and dinners are way overpriced and the offer is limited we always went looking nearby, and this is not acceptable for a 4 star hotel you can’t even order a sandwich in the room for dinner, they only offer fine dining and most evenings fixed menu of 60 to 100 euro p/person. This is the most shocking thing: they have lots of parties in the nights, one was till 2 am, luckily one stopped at 12 am since it started raining; rooms are close to the dancing open space so I couldn’t fell asleep till late, I have various video and audio as I couldn’t believe that, they are a bit clueless on how to attend hotel guests. So ask in advance how many nights they have planned parties. Guests of the hotel pay an expensive price for rooms, but receive very badly positioned beach beds as the better ones where the sand is are given to those with the season subscription, so another fight to get better positions. Moreover the general service is sufficient and employees don’t offer that attention required by the price paid. Better going at the beach on a daily basis, rather than as hotel guest for sure. Again, the location is quite beautiful since costiera sorrentina is among my favorite places, but I think the hotel is absolutely not worth the price and will never return

Stayed at the resort with my partner and our 6 months daughter, in order to have a place where we could go at the beach, bar or restaurant without going out. And so we did, nice location, not the best beach or room but had a very good dinner.

Unfortunately we forgot one jacket in the room when we checked out and we’re 100% sure about it. We called the hotel when we noticed on our way back, they told us that it wasn’t found which is honestly unbelievable. We called several times and we were reassured they were looking for it and they would have contacted us but they never did. So delusional

We got married at Le Axidie last year and it was wonderful! The wow factor arriving at Axidie made our guests very excited too. The food and service was fantastic, no request was too much. They made the wedding preparation process feel so easy. It felt like a dream and we didn't want to leave. Some of the staff we would like to thank in particular are Tiziana, Anna, Matteo, Daniel, Annamaria, Salvatore, Christian. You made it very special, thank you!

We stayed in Axidie over 2 weeks and got to experience all the ups and downs of the hotel/ area and nearby trips. Although we didn’t feel the rooms were worth the price, everything else compensated for it!

Overall we had a great experience, hence why we stayed so long. We got the opportunity to engage with most of the staff!

Salvatore, the breakfast manager really stood out with his welcoming personality and sincere will to provide the most exceptional service to guests. We had multiple encounters with him and they were always super pleasant! Thank you Salvatore.

Joseph from the reception also really stood out! He was informative, patient and always went the extra mile for us!
