Reviews
PROS:
Very good location, central, close to the port.
The receptionist was polite.
CONS:
This building is not a hotel. It's an office block, and a particularly ugly one at that.
Our bedroom was located right off the reception area, which I have never seen before in my life. If you want to get your rocks off, better make it quiet!
The decor in the rooms was shoddy. Very grey, very dated, every bit as lacking in charm as the rest of this gloomy office block. Paint was scratched and the walls were marked.
The room had a sizable balcony which would be useful in the summer, however inside it had these horrible wonky Persian blinds that made the room feel more like a set from a dodgy detective movie.
The bathroom was pitiful. The shower doors hadn't been sealed properly, so every time you had a shower, the floor flooded. The warm water would cut out intermittently and the pressure was poor too.
The check out time was 10am which struck me as very early. I had never seen that in a hotel before.
It may have been our proximity to the reception, but the room was also very noisy. We could hear people coming and going and could also hear noise from the other rooms.
Finally, to add insult to injury, they charged me 130euro. In retrospect, I wouldn't have paid more that 50euro for this place, but the photos on the website and on booking.com are extremely deceptive. What's worse still is that they invoiced my for 121euro, so for the life of me, I can't understand why I've been billed for 130euro.
If you're thinking of booking a room in the place, do yourself a favour and don't. Find somewhere cheaper and much more charming.
(Keep your money and dont go there)
1. They r close until 15:00 (check in) - if u arrive before: u can’t leave baggage.
2. U need to pay 10 cent every time u use the elevator (to go up/down).
3. No shampoo/soap at shower.
4. No blanket!, only sheet.
5.noisy! U here the ppls from out side, and the guy from the reception- u here everything!
You are provided with keys to the building and to the hotel entrance so that you can come and go when you like.
The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The cleaning was also good, but I really didn't like that they didn't lock the door to my room when they finished cleaning. Ok, it's a small hotel and nobody can get in from the outside, but I still like to keep my things locked away when I'm not present.
Another strange thing is that it cost 10 cent to use the elevator during daytime on workdays. The reception provides you with 10 cent coins, but it's good to know if you arrive on a workday...
Anyway, I highly recommend this hotel, and I sure would like to come back if I'm in Naples again.
