Hotel Clarean in Naples

We booked this hotel when we realized our existing accomodation was too far from the main station. The receptionist we booked with was pleasant, unlike the pompous, arrogant ony tailed one we encountered when we actually checked in on the morning of Sunday 15th September. He shouted at us in front of other guests when we used a table to rearrange our belongings, then proceeded to ignore us thereafter. He did not give us a wifi code and we were too fed up by then to ask. The bed was hard, the aircon was ancient and started spitting out ice randomly. We were also treated like children and told to leave our key every time we left the room. Apart from its location near the central station, this hotel has nothing else going for it, and the arrogant receptionist has ensured that I will never stay there ever again. Stay away from this place, there are other decent hotels close by, which i wish I had taken the trouble to check out.

Do not stay at the Hotel Clarean - if your flight is delayed they will not hold the room for you even if you contact them to explain you will be late. Terrible service when you arrive to discover you no longer have anywhere to stay. They withhold your money despite reselling your room you have booked for several nights. No apology from them either, they blame ***********

The staff is terrible.
The area is like the third world.
The wifi doesn't work.
We ask them to find a solution they never did.
The food is disgusting.
The cleaning lady is nice at least.
The young guy at the desk is the worst: no smile, nothing at all...

The coffee bar at the hotel serves the most disgusting coffee in all of Italy.

I wish I could give this place no stars. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. The man at the front counter said he would let us stay for 70 euros. We gave him the money and said ok. even tho we eatch only had 5 euros left after because my boyfriend said while we were walking looking for hotels ppl tried to pick pocket him at least 5 times in about 30 min! So I was a little worried and we went back to this hotel since it was close to where we were. After giving him cash for the room he asked for our passports. We handed them over and then he said there was an extra tourist tax and it would be 12.50 euros. We told him we couldn't afford it we only had 10 left and needed to eat. He just kept arguing with us. I showed him my 5 euros and laid it on the counter and said look that's all I have. He kept arguing then we said just give our money back we will go somewhere else he WOULD NOT GIVE OUR MONEY BACK! we just kept telling him we couldn't afford the room give our money back and we will go somewhere else. Meanwhile he is saying that he gave us a deal and the we came in twice To ask about prices. It's just 12.50 more. While we were arguing he stole the 5 euros off the counter and kept saying we paid 70. We noticed and said no we paid 75 now. just give our money back. He said he didn't take the 5 then after about 10 min of that he finally gave it back but still WOULDN'T GIVE OUR 70 BACK! So since the streets were so crime ridden and had no money for another room somewhere else we had to take the room since he wouldn't give our money back. Never go to this hotel. If I knew how to report this I would. O did I mention I said I was going to call the cops and he said no I will and made a pretend phone call to the police who never showed up hmmm. O and the room was dirty things were broken and the bed sucked.
