Hotel Clarean in Naples

Completely unacceptable experience. The bathroom was extremely dirty and unhygienic, with serious health risks. The walls and paint are falling apart, and the room is filled with a strong smell of dampness and mold. The staff behaved in a very unprofessional and hostile manner. I strongly advise against staying here.

Extremely shady and dishonest – do not stay here. They scam people when it comes to money.
We were deliberately scammed by the hotel staff. One of them was clearly high and acting strangely. They insisted we had to pay €31 in advance for a taxi transfer to the airport. Later, the driver told us that this is not allowed – payments are supposed to be made directly to the driver, who also accepts card payments. The real price was €21, meaning the hotel kept €10 for themselves.
It was obvious from the way they were whispering and trying to hide the conversation that they knew exactly what they were doing. They lied to us and manipulated the situation on purpose. Everything felt extremely shady.
To make things worse, the air conditioning didn’t work and the overall service was poor. We strongly advise avoiding this hotel if you want a safe and honest stay.
They had very weird rules. Some things they could take with card but some other things they demanded cash so they wouldn’t have to give you receipts. As in the taxi thing. If I had known there and not on the ride to the airport I would have called the police.

This was the worst hotel visit I’ve ever had! When we arrived we met at guy in the hotel that was completely non service minded. Our room had a distinct smell of smoke and wasn’t particularly clean as well. The air conditioner barely worked and when it’s 30 degrees outside the room got really hot during the whole night. But the worst part was when we asked the hotel to book a taxi for us in the morning to the airport. The guy in the reception wanted us to pay him 31 euros in cash. He said that we needed to pay him up front which I thought was really strange. The taxi arrived and when we spoke to the taxi driver they only paid him 21 euros in cash. The thing is taxi to the airport from where we were staying was a set price at 21. So the guy I the reception ripped us of of 10 euros and took for him self… great guy and great hotel… I have never been to more unserious and shitty hotel in my whole life! pro tip: DONT GO THERE!!!

We booked this hotel when we realized our existing accomodation was too far from the main station. The receptionist we booked with was pleasant, unlike the pompous, arrogant ony tailed one we encountered when we actually checked in on the morning of Sunday 15th September. He shouted at us in front of other guests when we used a table to rearrange our belongings, then proceeded to ignore us thereafter. He did not give us a wifi code and we were too fed up by then to ask. The bed was hard, the aircon was ancient and started spitting out ice randomly. We were also treated like children and told to leave our key every time we left the room. Apart from its location near the central station, this hotel has nothing else going for it, and the arrogant receptionist has ensured that I will never stay there ever again. Stay away from this place, there are other decent hotels close by, which i wish I had taken the trouble to check out.

Do not stay at the Hotel Clarean - if your flight is delayed they will not hold the room for you even if you contact them to explain you will be late. Terrible service when you arrive to discover you no longer have anywhere to stay. They withhold your money despite reselling your room you have booked for several nights. No apology from them either, they blame ***********

When we arrived at the hotel we discovered that it was a mistake in the booking, we booked a double room for 2 nights but the number of guests instead of 2 it was just one. In the moment when i asked for an additional cost for the second person the receptionist asked me for 153e/per night which was crazy for a *** hotel and unfortunately we needed to book another room in another hotel for the second person. The next day when I arrived again at the hotel i asked again at the reception another guy how much do i need to pay for the second person and he told me 50e/night, which is 100e difference from the previous °offer° .
The hotel room was just simply disgusting, dirty and with old furniture.
It was extremely noise from outside and i could hear extremely clearly each and every conversation from the people which were sitting at the coffee shop.
The stuff were very unprofessional because in the first night he asked me 153e for and additional person in my room and after i refuse to give these money he tried to convince me not to make the check in for my room, and in the moment when i complained next day about the situation no one did anything.

The wifi doesn't work.
We ask them to find a solution they never did.
The food is disgusting.
The cleaning lady is nice at least.
The young guy at the desk is the worst: no smile, nothing at all...
