Just close enough to be quick trip but far enough away to not be in the crowds. With pool, beach, multiple food options, elegance and to top it off incredible staff. We cannot say enough good things about our stay

I had the most amazing 3 day stay at the Hotel Parco dei Principi in Sorento. The hotel has the most amazing views of the sea anywhere - the rooms are quiet and the beds very comfortable

The breakfast buffet was okay, it was a bit heavy on the breads/carbohydrates for me. The interior of the of the hotel was all different hues of blues to match the Gulf of Naples!

The restaurant is outstanding and I had some great meals. I have to add that Jana arranged a private day tour to Pompeii and Herculaneum which was a real highlight of my stay

Room was big, we had a balcony looking over the beautiful gardens. The cliff location was amazing with incredible views, sunsets, etc! Would book here again every time

The hotel can also arrange transfers to and from Lamezia and Reggio Calabria airport, as well as the local train station if you opt for not taking a car

The hotel is beautiful, nice, clean, with a beautiful area. The staff is helpful and friendly

Their bus service is great! If you want to go to the beach, just write it down and they will bring you there, as well as to the train station! The location is terrible, there are no shops or cafes around (besides the hotel restaurant, there is 1 coop store and 1 pizza cafe)

Before coming, we were worried that the hotel is not on beach and not in the center of Tropea , but it wasn’t a problem at all, as it is still close to the seaside and it takes just a few minutes to get there by car, or especially with the transfer provided by the hotel, it is very convenient and easy, the bus is modern and the driver is very nice! Everything we wanted a vacation near the sea, so a good beach was a priority, not far from some city, cleanliness and a good view. And fortunately we’ve chosen the La Bussola so got everything we wanted and even more

When we arrived by train the hotel asked if we wanted a taxi but we were unsure when we were going to arrive so we told them we would just grab one ourselves when we arrived well there are not taxis available at all! We called the hotel and they told us it would be 40 min before they could come and get us so we decided to walk the mile to the resort

, everything was extremely tasty and cooked with soul! The sea is only 5 minutes walk downhill, the beach is clean, the views and landscapes are fantastic! My daughter and I are really grateful to Giacomo, Teodora and Madi for everything they have done for us, they are the best! The atmosphere in this hotel is really friendly, calm and peaceful

The room is cosy, clean and with all necessary conveniences. The food is really delicious and various with lots of fresh seafood, fruit and vegetables, pasta, rissoto, fish, meat, etc

Afer picking you up from the railway station, the charming staff deliver you to a clean and spacious room with a balcony and a coastal view. Afterwards you can wander down to the beach or relax by the pool

As a well travelled guy around the world, I’ve experienced many 5 star hotels including Dubai, but this is by far my favourite of them all!! As I came here to write this review I was nosey enough to wisher how other people’s experiences

I stayed in a room which took my breath away upon entering, Versace bathroom tiles and above the bed. A real fine touch of which I’ve not seen before in any hotel. Well sized bathroom and impressively sized bedroom

The food was exceptional – every meal felt like fine dining. I was honestly surprised to read some of the negative reviews, as I've stayed in many 5-star hotels, and this is genuinely one of the best

Well, you get what you pay for. Pretty expensive but very relaxing. A few pools in several levels provide more privacy. The beach and the view are beautiful. The rooms are cleaned twice a day

Beautiful hotel with stunning grounds, pools and beach. We chose to swim at the beach, such a lovely setting, and the sea was warm. The pools appeared to be unheated

I LOVED staying at Colonna resort, a very nice hotel with good food and INCREDIBLE rooms, I stayed at a suite and it was one of the best rooms I ever stayed at, the staff and workers are very nice especially in the restaurant… they all are very well mannered and a lot are very FINE😍 the waiters are very sweet and there is one that is curly haired was very cute😍😍 he always smiles and waves

The half board option was excellent value and the evening meal choice, with waiter service, fabulous. The only thing that let the hotel down was breakfast, which was very limited for a hotel of this size

Pool area is beautiful and big (including a small private beach) and, at least at the start of September, it felt half empty all the time so you could pretty much choose where ever you want to be

We took advantage of the useful free shuttle into Porto Cervo one day, a 2 hour visit was probably all that was needed, although we stayed longer. Plenty of parking in the hotel grounds and the road outside

It was overall a great stay for us. We had short stay here but really appreciated the lake view for the price and the breakfast was amazing.

However we had a room without a lake view (as some rooms have a lake view) and it's "view" is simply very uncomfortable. Not the room itself, but because of the view you feel as in the tomb

we had a room overlooking the lake, so the view was breathtaking. the rooms were simply furnished and not large, but clean. nearby there is a small pier with sunbeds available for guests.

The hotel is really “Grand!” Eventually, it will be updated for aesthetic reasons. But, for now - everything is functional and looks good, even though,- not very modern looking. But, everything is kept clean and tidy

Pool was unfortunately empty of water, so we had to get vouchers for the private beach daily

You're basically on your own after the towel and you have to physically get up to flag them down to take any type of order. Same goes for anywhere else in this place

Title: Disappointed Compared to My First Visit This was my second stay at this hotel, and unfortunately, a lot has changed since my previous visit

On the negative side, check-in was slow with no additional information, like where breakfast would be, or discounted pricing for the beaches, or information about the facilities (we realized only after a few days that the hotel has a big swimming pool area at the back)

Pool was lovely but freezing cold!!!!! I’m not sure why they don’t heat their pools in Italy. Very few people use the pools for obvious reasons. However the hotel rooms, dining and staff were excellent!!!! I’d go back!!

Reception Staff were exceptional. Breakfast staff made you feel special and attended to. Our ferry was cancelled and the young man helped us sort other transport. Outstanding help.

Lunch and dinner are very good quality. The town is small, quaint and not too busy. Ferries available to take you up and down the coast and even over to Capri

We enjoyed our vacation here, nice reception and breakfast/ dinner staff, friendly pool staff, beautiful location, amongst olive and fruit trees, good parking provision, and good frequent shuttle service to the beach and town centre, especially good when very hot, as in the last July heatwave (although the shuttles get filled up quickly, they run them non stop and never leave anyone stranded)

We stayed last week in this hotel, honestly, given the bad reviews, I asked to see the room first, the very kind lady at the reception showed it to me with a lot of patience, the hotel is not new but the location, the cleanliness and the kindness of the staff are unparalleled, we returned this weekend too, and we will return for the next ones

This hotel has great accommodations BUT the beds are not soft in anyway. We did get a free upgrade which was nice BUT as we were checking out there was $100 charge. No one ever told us about for using the public beach

I had a an amazing massage by Sara in the spa Grazia helped us book up restaurants and a boat trip Only negatives were beach area not great and the shower could be more powerful and only one restaurant open for dinner so you have to go out in the evening if you don't want dinner in the same place They did a free shuttle down into Porto Cervo but the last one back is around 8pm so then yoy need to...

Also, you will have some random guy coming up to you trying to sell you fake jewelry. For a hotel of this standard, I would not use that beach The food here is basically a 6 at most

It is a big zero because it is public and because there’s a chair in a towel they charge you $100. They did not tell us, and we did not sign anything

it’s 5 or 6 mins in the hotel shuttle down to the bars and shops down there. Our room was very well appointed, had a huge double aspect balcony , ( Room 111 ) and bath / shower and all general amenities

The location (the beach and water are perfect), the rooms are cleaned everyday and the service have been great even at the end of the season when things are heading to the end

The pool area is good and towels are available from the pool steward. If you don't hire a car there is a shuttle bus to Ostuni and there is information for trips from a good company called todomodo in the hotel

The pool and beach areas were good with lots of sunbeds , however the sandy beach was a portioned off area of a public beach and not very easy to access

Breakfest was just acceptable; most days no wifi; ants and mold in the room; beach is dirty, but we visited a bit offseason to be fair. Hotel is a bit dated overall.

Thé beach area is 500 meters from thé main building with sunbeds and sunumbrellas and a Beach bar where you can drink and eat. The 4 course dinner at choie is included in thé half pension

However the towels were very old and it lacked any water , coffee or tea after the first day as they were never replenished. Breakfast was very busy, lots of food choices

This year there were more people but despite that the organization in the restaurant is very good. Waiter service efficient and friendly. Breakfasts are varied with very good coffee served by a barista

We absolutely loved Gaetano & Vincenzo by the pool bar! These two guys were incredible with the highest possible level of service available! I have not personally experienced a more fun pool bar anywhere

We just asked another person again and were able to sit in the desired place. Not what we expect for 260€/night base price. We paid only 160€ and were happy with what we got overall
