An unforgettable stay in Rome — heartfelt thanks to the team Our stay at this hotel was truly special, and much of that is thanks to the incredible team behind it. From the very beginning — even before arrival — the communication was warm, prompt, and genuinely helpful. The managers were always available, answered every question in detail, and helped us choose the best accommodation option for our needs. A very special thank you to Claudio, who was exceptionally attentive from the first message and played a key role in organizing everything for our group. Claudio’s personal involvement truly made a difference. The most touching moment was that one of our group members had a birthday on the day of our arrival. The hotel team prepared an unforgettable surprise: two bottles of champagne, a beautiful tiramisu cake, candles, and even a personalized birthday poster saying “Happy Special Birthday in Rome.” It was incredibly warm, generous, and thoughtfully organized. These gestures were arranged by the hotel team, and Claudio’s care and attention were especially felt in these moments. This level of hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated. Another thing that truly impressed us: we had originally booked rooms for additional family members who, unfortunately, were unable to travel at the last minute. The booking was non-refundable, and technically the hotel had every right to keep the payment. However, despite this, they chose to refund us for the guests who couldn’t come. We especially appreciate Ricardo for his involvement and responsibility in handling this matter — this decision speaks volumes about the hotel’s integrity and professionalism. Throughout our stay, the reception staff was always kind, attentive, and ready to help — whether with local recommendations or simply creating a welcoming atmosphere. We also appreciated being able to spend relaxed evenings in the café/lobby area. The rooms are clean, aesthetic, and well maintained. While they are on the smaller side, in a city like Rome — where you spend most of your time exploring — it’s absolutely not an issue. Everything was comfortable and perfectly suitable for a city stay. Breakfast was simple but sufficient, with both sweet and savory options available. You will definitely not leave hungry, and the overall atmosphere makes it a pleasant start to the day. Overall, this hotel is not just about accommodation — it’s about people who truly care about their guests. We are sincerely grateful for the warmth, flexibility, and generosity shown to us. Additional special thanks to Claudio for his constant support, responsiveness, and genuine care throughout our entire stay — and to Ricardo for his professionalism and fairness. This review is written on behalf of our group of 24 people who all share the same feelings. We would absolutely stay at Hotel Flavia again!

A horrible experience. We arrived at the hotel at 1:00 PM, having made a reservation days in advance for a double room. The receptionist, after scanning our documents, assigned us room number 15. To get to the room, a hotel employee had to guide us, as the access involved navigating through hallways and corridors more confusing than Roman ruins. Once we finally reached the room, we were shocked to find that it looked nothing like the pictures on the website. Instead, it resembled a storage room with four beds, a window facing a lightwell, and a bathroom split into two separate compartments. Everything was filthy and moldy. The WiFi signal didn’t even reach the room. We went back to the reception and refused to accept this disgrace, demanding a room similar to the ones advertised online. The receptionist, visibly annoyed and borderline aggressive, bluntly told us that check-in starts at 2:00 PM and that we should come back then. We sat in the lobby waiting until 2:00 PM, during which time four other guests were checked in. Eventually, we were given a slightly better room, but it was still very dirty. Avoid this place at all costs.

Good location. The room was spacious and well-appointed.

In terms of value for money, I found the hotel to be quite reasonable. The pricing was appropriate for the quality of services and accommodations provided. Additionally, the breakfast offered was a nice start to the day, with a good selection of food that catered to different tastes.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others looking for a well-located and fairly priced place to stay. The combination of a good-sized room, satisfactory price-quality ratio, and enjoyable breakfast makes it a commendable choice. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

Avoid. Broken faucet. Broken shower. No wifi. Old and ugly.

The location is central but away from the noise and in a very safe and quiet neighborhood.
The staff is welcoming and very kind.
• The hotel is the worst hotel I have ever been.
We had booked a twin room and we were more than disappointed, the single beds were so small and uncomfortable I couldn't sleep properly.
The bathroom had a large opening on THE SAME ROOM WE WERE SLEEPING, so you can imagine all the smells of the bathroom stayed in the room.
The architect who did this project should be jailed.
Everything was of the lowest quality possible, the room was not clean as you can see in the photos.
We complained to the receptionist and they upgraded us to a larger room which had a bathroom with no windows, no aspiration at all so again we could smell the bathroom all night long.
This has been THE MOST TERRIBLE HOTEL EVER
EVER EVER.

When we booked the hotel during the pandemic, the price was very affordable. Now that has changed. During our stay the room had a small window onto the inner courtyard and itself was equipped with basic items. Unfortunately, the big downside was the noisy fan on the roof. Sometimes it was hard to sleep. Breakfasts were quite repetitive.

This is good budget accommodation. But note budget. Tiny room. Zero light. Edible breakfast. We had 4 beds ( for 3 people) in a room that two would have been right. It was clean and fresh though. So I would recommend but only if it’s at a low cost compared to others.

Appalling treatment - beware - the habit of overbooking and diverting customers to poorer standard subsidiaries is rife. Absolute con job. No upgrade or refund! Disgraceful. The standard of the new hotel room was a disgrace. Shower door off it’s hinge, pockmarked walls etc

As soon as we entered this lovely soothing place we felt calmer. The staff went out of their way to make it enjoyable for us. We had a lovely well equipped room; after a great night out in Rome then back to a wonderful bed with an excellent comfortable mattress. We were just very pleased to be staying in this wonderful nurturing haven of a hotel.

Clean, nice staff, rooms very small. Not bad for location, would suit fairly fit walkers. Surprised it is a four star.
