At first you think: kind of a small place. But: the experience is great. So many surprises. Full of beautyfull little ideas to make the stay comfortable and cosy. Breakfast at the roof top. Feel good atmosphere.
And: Best staff ever. Never felt so welcomed. Anywhere.

Very quaint, no-frills room with amazing memory foam mattresses. Held our bags for free the whole next day while we visited Roma. The real gem is the connected coffee shop (Magasin) as well as restaurant (Osteri Olivia) with some of the best food we've had in Europa. Great service, 5-10 min walk to the Colosseum.

The staff are fantastic, friendly and very helpful. The position is great just 5 mins from the colliseum. The double room we had was not big but we'll appointed and clean, towels and linen changed everyday.

Stayed there two years ago. Perfect location, close proximity to almost everything. Good breakfast on the roof and very friendly staff. The only thing I didn't like is that for some reason, the air condition is turned off around 7. 30 every morning, and it was July and steaming hot! There is also no lobby. But it is perfect if you are going to tour all day and not just chill. Plus, they have family apartments close by.

I slept wonderfully here. Very friendly and helpful staff and decent facilities for a fair price. Rooms are clean and location is pretty good if you want to use it as a center point for your cultural trips. Close to the metro station at the Colosseum. The air conditioning system is a bit special: It's a very light system - meaning it is very quiet at night, but during summer you probably want it to start working early on in the evening in order to get the room cooled before you turn off the lights.

While a very nice hotel overall, if you stay in the suites that they provide in the next building over, you must be prepared for very loud nights. I stayed 4 floors up, and could still here people talking in the street below as if they were in the same room as me. Their showers vary from room to room, though even the small and dinky looking one in my room was lovely. Do be warned, the water takes time to warm up. Their breakfast is from 7-10 in the morning and has an excellent selection of food, with cereals, meat, and some Italian desserts. One of my only misgivings (keeping in mind that I only experienced the suites in the building to the right if you are facing the entrance) is that the elevator started on the floor above the ground floor, so if you have mobility issues, make sure you make that clear so that you get a room in the main building. Also if you have large and heavy luggage, you will have to get creative. All of this considered, Hotel Apollo is in the most convenient area in town, less than a 30 minute walk from anywhere you would want to go. A 15 minute walk from the Colosseum, and there are restaurants and bakery's all around.

The location is perfect.
The staff is codiale and you feel like at home.
The terrace for breakfast a real wedding favor that looks at the roofs of Rome.
The rooms are clean and functional.

It is logistically situated between the Colosseum, the Quirinale, Fori Imperiali, Altare della Patria and the Campidoglio. Also, you can reach in 10 minutes to the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon.

Excellent location, two steps from the Colosseum and the staff extremely helpful, make the stay really pleasant. Recommended.
