The pool is outside, it is only available on warmer months.
The gym is only for show. It is so small there is no room for a yoga mat.
The lux suite is old and literally is falling apart. There are no anti-mosquito nets on the windows. There was nice terrace in the suite, good for having a lunch on fine weather.
The poorest breakfast I have ever experienced in Accor hotels: no vegetables but some boiled carrots and greens if you are lucky. Cherry tomatoes are available upon request, not every morning. Scramble, sausages, bacon - these are all the hot dishes available, every morning, no change. The restaurant staff can be inhospitable at times.
We traveled to downtown by taxi, it is the easiest way to get there. Around 50 Euro one way.
Until this visit, I could count on Accor hotels quality standards, it is not the case anymore.

Room is so stuffy, no ventilation at all. I was told to open window, but mosquito have a free entry to feast on us. Furthermore it is not safe to open window because staying on level 2 and burglar can easily climb into the room to have a buffet on our belongings.

The hotel has a great location, making it very convenient for getting around! The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with excellent facilities. The breakfast is abundant and nutritious, and the staff are all very friendly and enthusiastic. It's a fantastic hotel, highly recommended!

The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom and toilet were also well-maintained. Breakfast was enjoyable with good food, and the staff were okay. The hotel is also within walking distance to the train station, which is very convenient.

Our stay at Novotel Roma Est was overall pleasant, with a few areas that could be improved. The hotel itself looks modern and clean, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Staff were polite and helpful, and check-in was smooth.
The location is a bit outside the city center, which is something to keep in mind if you're planning to explore Rome. They have parking on site (we used the outdoor one).
We didn't have breakfast there, because we wanted to be on time for the Colosseum, but we had dinner and all the others are the table complained about the food being salty. Mine (which was pork) was beautifully done.
Facilities like the pool and gym were a nice bonus, though some areas felt slightly dated. It’s a solid option if you're looking for comfort and don’t mind being a little outside the main tourist spots.
Overall, a good stay – not perfect, but reliable and comfortable for a short visit.

We had the very nice and spacious Junior Suite with a large terrace. Perfect for a family with two children.
The outdoor pool is well maintained and a very pleasant change in the heat.
The breakfast has a good selection with something for everyone.
The staff are very helpful and friendly.
The distance to the main sights by car is about 20 minutes.
We will book there again on our next trip to Rome.

Novotel Rome Est does not offer services of 4 starts as you pay for. The pool and location are nice, but the rest of it: staff, food, cleanliness needs a lot of improvement. The rooms are old and we had to change 2 rooms until we god a reasonable one. The smell from the room is very suspicious.... We came from Novotel Genova to Rome Est Novotel and we had a big disappointment. The reason we booked Novotel Rome was because the high standards of Genova Novotel, but we were very disappointed about what we found in Rome.

Not a bad hotel but really poorly located, especially if you don’t have a car. Food is decent, although they don’t change up their breakfast at all. But yes pool area is quite nice and they have plenty entertainment. Rooms are outdated and no new tech TV’s so you’re forced to watch Italian TV.
La Rústica station is out of commission so you need to pay to get a taxi to get to the Metro station and honestly the East side of Rome is not exactly the nicest. I will definitely stay in the centre or West side of Rome when I come again.
