My partner and I recently stayed at Relais Circo Massimo Guesthouse and had such a wonderful stay from start to finish. The location couldn’t have been better; in walking distance to the Coloseum (about 15/20mins at most) and a short walk from the train station and row of shops/cafes/restaurants. Super safe, quiet area which offers a little escape from the bustling streets of the city center.

Check in was super easy and the team were fantastic on email comms as we had a few queries before we arrived. We walked into chocolates on our pillows, a bowl of fresh fruit, some pastries and plenty of tea and coffee. We felt so well looked after! I actually had requested some extra creamer sachets one day and explained it’s because we are British and drink so much tea. The team gave me some extra and said it’s a shame because they only taste good in coffee. I wasn’t fussed at all but when we returned later that night, the team had actually bought us a carton of milk especially for us, free of charge. Personable service at its very, very best.

Room has a fridge, hairdryer, toiletries, smart tv and ours had shared access to a beautiful courtyard. The weather may not have been on our side, but it was still fantastic to have access to.

I would 100% stay again. The staff were absolutely brilliant and it’s a gorgeous, hidden gem in the heart of Rome. Thank you SO much team!

It was a good location, but for some reason, a little pricey when I was there. Check in was very easy and clear although there were no staff there after noontime. There are restaurants and shops around the block. Bed was very comfortable.

It is convenient for the metro and the staff were very helpful with any questions I had before arriving. It is lovely to sit out in the courtyard to have my coffee. Everything was clean and fresh and was just what I needed for my short stay in the city.

The check-in experience was terrible. I was turned away upon arrival! Luckily, I had the app and could speak decent English, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get through the door. They said there was a private bathroom, but it was just a shower installed in the room, with no ventilation. The hot air from the shower was directly discharged into the room. In the scorching summer heat, you can imagine how uncomfortable it was; it was almost like a sauna! There was construction going on inside and outside the apartment. I almost tripped walking into the apartment, and it was impossible to sleep in. The rumbling of construction was already past 8 a.m., and the apartment's decorative rugs were extremely dirty and fuzzy... The welcome fruit was rotten and full of flying insects... How dare they accommodate guests in such conditions? Why didn't they report it to the platform? Furthermore, the next day, the hotel told me they had contacted me through Agoda. I told her I booked through Ctrip, and she argued that Ctrip was owned by Agoda. It was speechless!

Just steps from the Circus Maximus and not far from the Colosseum, the resort is ideal for those like me who need to attend a concert, with the metro station nearby. The room is clean and comfortable, with direct access to the outdoor area. Drinks from the mini-bar are available for guests, and a generous self-service breakfast is available. The owner is kind and attentive to every request. The value for money is a bit high.

Chosen primarily for a concert at the Circus Maximus, which is a 2-minute walk away, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. My room, 202, was very nice and clean, and the two ladies I met at reception were helpful and kind. I highly recommend it. I almost forgot to mention that when we arrived, we found fresh fruit in the room and drinks from the mini fridge available for our use (free of charge), which is unusual. Congratulations, I'll definitely be back!!

All perfect. Excellent location, very welcoming room, clean and complete with everything. Courteous, helpful and very kind staff. Very good quality/price ratio. In the area there is the metro and many restaurants, as well as of course the many wonders of Rome. Definitely recommended.

Go there with your eyes closed, very clean, great welcome, comfortable bedding, close to the metro and tourist sites, children's room tidy up every day. Free coffee and some cakes. Free drinks in the fridge. Really an establishment that we recommend.

Great guesthouse. It was good value for money for the season and location. About 20 minute walk to the Colosseum. The owner was a great host, sorted out a minor issue within a couple of hours over text which was brilliant. Bed was comfy, AC actually worked too ?. Kitchen was also well stocked with utensils and cooking oil which was a plus.
