Trevi Palace Luxury Inn in Rome

Absolutely horrible experience. From the time we arrived we were treated without any respect. Firstly we checked into our accomadation only
To be lead out of the reception down a few streets through another gate. We were told to follow the guy who then took us into another section and opened the door to our room. Firstly
The bathroom was down stairs, bedrooms were upstairs. There was know banister to hold onto and the stairs were steep and narrow. Not safe at all. When we got upstairs there was one double bed. Our booking had said we had to double beds. There was know windows and the Tv was on the wall so far away from the bed u couldn’t see it. I asked for an ice bucket , we got a bag
Of ice that went into the bathroom sink. As this was the last week of our fantastic holiday
We were left quite upset and extremely disappointed.
We did go back to the reception and voiced our concerns, firstly it was unsafe to walk up and down the stairs., we didn’t have the room which we requested, we only had one bed. The guys behind the reception was a horrible
Man who was not understanding or helpful , not to even begin to understand. He said we needed to take it up with our travel agent and there was nothing he could do.
We went back to our room and decided to look for for other
Accomadation. When we returned to our room later that night we didn’t feel safe at
All, walking through the dark side streets not at all ideal.
The next morning we checked out , almost broke my back trying to get
Our suitcases down those stairs.
Please do not use this horrible hotel for your accomadation. You will be disappointed

I asked for an iron at the reception, but they told me they don’t provide that service, which was a bit disappointing. They also charge for the two bottles of water placed in the room on the first day.
The breakfast was just average, nothing special.

However, the hotel’s location is excellent, and the housekeeping team does a great job keeping the rooms very clean.

Where do I start? I've been waiting to check out before I can safely write this review. I felt like I got scammed!!! First of all, the pictures that you see in this Agoda listing, it's either fake or it's pictures of another room in the main building. There is no bathtub, no spacious rooms, nothing! We were put into room 801 at another sketchy building which is 1 min walking distance deep into the alleyways. When we entered the room, to our horror, it looks like a run-down old building you see in horror movies. The toilet is the worst, it is so narrow and hazardous when you take a shower or do your big business in there because there's not enough space to move around. The toilet door frame is not tall-people friendly, I bumped my head a few times, while the sink is not short-people friendly because it is so high up. Not to mention the housekeeping quality is bad, as the toilet roll they replenished for us the next day has a blood stain on it. The bed is upstairs which makes it hard to bring your luggages up the narrow stairs but you also dont feel safe leaving it downstairs. The carpets are so dirty and the main door does not offer you security with the locks. We had to move a bench towards the door to block it before we sleep at night. Last but not least, the female receptionist did not offer a very good hospitality as she was quite rude and impatient with our questions.

The only plus side to this place is that it is literally a minute walk to Trevi fountain and it is secluded enough to be away from the crowd noise. Other than that, for first time visitors here, I advise you to stay somewhere further away as the hotels around these attraction areas are typically not for comfort stay.
