This is the best hotel I have had in Rome. I am a budget traveler and this hit all my needs, cost and location (quick access to the metro, shopping and restaurants).

The staff was very friendly and offered a lot of help finding nearby locations and airport transfers.

Breakfast was provided with typical continual affairs such as meats, cheese and assorted cereal and pastry.

We paid a little extra for a room with a balcony (which may be why I liked it so much)

Great ! Simple rooms, nothing too fancy, but every member of the staff has been super nice, and the location is fantastic !

The hotel is exactly next ti Piazza Del Popolo, you have a nice view and a lovely balcony you can sit at,the rooms are so comfortable and clean, you feel relaxed. The receptionist (i think her name is Diana)is a wonderful lovely girl,so nice and sweet, she helps you with everything and understands anything you need. She makes you feel safe.In the breakfast you have some nice things to eat but the coffee machine is amazing. It is the best option in the center of the city to go.It's a MUST.

Hotel Okapi is a nice hotel. The staff are very nice. Rooms are adequate. The hotel is located in a wonderful spot. My only complaint is they have a sister hotel called the Panda. You have to go through them if you want a new reservation at the Okapi or if you want to stay longer. There’s a gentleman who answers the phone at the Hotel Panda who is extremely rude. They don’t want your business. They post prices on their website and then when you go to reserve the room, the price is higher than what they say it’s going to be. When I called to complain about it the host at the Panda was extremely rude and told me that if I didn’t want to pay the higher rate I could go elsewhere. I just thought it was very poor service and had it not been for the good location of the Okapi, I would certainly have gone elsewhere.

Good budget hotel. Excellent for the price. A little dated, but also charming and well located convenient to the metro, and also walkable to some sights.

Great location, 12 minute walk to Trevi fountain, 35 mins to St. Peter's Good ~ Customer Service Clean and appealing appearance Coffee & cookies available 24/7, great coffee Accessibility: There are stairs to access the elevator, stairs to access the room balcony, stairs to access the bathroom. Expensive: after exchange rate, almost $200 CAD /night Bed: memory foam that remembered the last 100 guests, please replace Bathroom: shower provides good temperature, good pressure, had to jerry-rig the shower head to keep it in an elevated position. Visited 21-23 Oct 2024, we arrived early, around 11am and found that our rooms were available and we didn't have to wait for the 2pm check in. If they had not been ready, it was possible to leave our luggage there and come back later. The place looks nice, statues and the like, clean. The attendant was present at front desk when we arrived, so there was no trouble checking in. However, if you arrive and the door is locked because the attendant is upstairs cleaning a room, or if you arrive after hours, I'm not sure what the protocol would be to gain access to the building. Our room looked small and cute, well decorated with roman artifacts and a balcony that looked out onto the street. Our room safe was locked in the open position, I asked for that to be remedied, but it was not, we stored our passports in our friends room next door. The bathroom was small, if I was any fatter, I could see problems maneuvering. Didn't like the bed, aged memory foam. Our friends occupied the room next door, they said their bed was too firm, I would have preferred that bed I think. The elevator is necessary, the stairs are many and narrow, it would be difficult to carry luggage up those stairs. At one point the elevator did not work and for a while we had to traverse the stairwell up & down. Overall I like the place, it could have been a little better. I've been in worse.

The hotel is located in a nice position, very close to various tourist attractions. The room is small but good. Overall, it is worth the price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely consider living here again if I go to Rome in the future.

Location: fantastic! Perfectly located in the Piazza del Popolo Check in: easy Staff: minimal English but friendly and welcoming. The gentleman at the front desk was able to use a translation app to help answer my questions - thank you! Room: small but comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Comfortable pillows. Very clean. Small bathroom but functional. Wifi worked well. I didn’t access the TV. Sound: very quiet. Food: no breakfast provided but they serve complimentary self-serve coffee any time of the day. Great restaurants right in the same small street and lots within a few minutes walking distance.
