We’ve just an absolutely delightful four days at this hotel. Central location and well served by public transport. Number 62 bus got you to so many places for one euro 50. Lots of fabulous places to eat at night within walking distance. The staff were so welcoming the hotel was spotless, breakfast had loads of choice too. Loved sitting out in the garden in the morning; sitting with a coffee and croissant was a wonderful start. Rooms cleaned everyday which was a lovely surprise. Would highly recommend this hotel it’s a hidden gem!

This is a lovely hotel, situated in a peaceful part of town away from the noise and bustle of central Rome. Frequent buses run from the bus stop at the end of the road, and they take you right into the cultural heart of the city in about 20 minutes. We were in rooms 501 and 502 , which are garden rooms and its feels like a different word when you turn the corner - almost like an old fashioned Mediterranean fishing village! Its beautiful Breakfast is of a good standard although it gets busy between 8-9am so if you prefer a peaceful breakfast go outwith those times. The staff were exceptional, and couldn't have been more helpful. Baudelaire looked after us at breakfast and he was extremely helpful and friendly. I stupidly left my phone in the back seat of the taxi back to the airport and the Franco and Diego were absolute lifesavers, helping me locate and ship it back home., I can't thank them enough. If you are looking for a charming and friendly oasis of calm away from the bustling city I can thoroughly recommend the Rome Garden Hotel

Just returned from a 3 night stay here. We knew when we booked we were staying in the annexe and having read some reviews we emailed asking to upgrade to stay in the main hotel but we had left it too late so the hotel was full. The annexe is a 3 minute walk from the hotel, just round the corner. There’s a locked gate, a locked front door and a locked door into where the apartments are. And your locked apartment door so we felt secure while we were there. We had room 604 and it was clean and quite modern only slight negatives were, there was only one plug so was hard work keeping our phones and watches charged up. Also the shower went randomly boiling hot and freezing cold while I was using it, but it was fine while my wife used it. Room was cleaned everyday while we were out. There was no kettle but there is free coffee in the apartments reception area on a morning. Breakfast in the main hotel was good, fruit, yogurts, croissants, cakes etc. Also a tray of scrambled egg and chopped up hotdog sausages and a toast machine. And a coffee machine and fruit juices. Only thing that was missing was some bacon and decent sausages. It was a 20 min walk from train station and about 30mins into the main areas like the Trevi Fountain. If you’re worried about staying in the annexe, honestly don’t be, we found it fine and had no problems at all. It was a cheap hotel and we thought it was good for what we paid to stay there.

This hotel is not what you expect, we booked this hotel as a gift for the unique look and the fact it was close to all we wanted to see. On arrival we were told we would not be staying in the hotel but a residential apartment block 5 minutes walk away, the noise was terrible you may as well of shared your room with 601b, you could hear them using the toilet during the night, we then had to walk to the main hotel every morning for breakfast, definitely not what the write up states. Very disappointing!!

This small hotel is not in the middle of everything but it suited us. Being relatively fit, we found the walk from the hotel to the attractions exhilarating, every road & turning was another outstanding view. There are buses & taxi's if you prefer. It took us 1hr 20 minutes to walk to the Vatican, approx 40 mins for everything else. Trainers or good walking shoes strongly recommended. The hotel is not the Ritz but it is clean, comfortable & has amazing staff on hand to help, our favourite was Franco as he helped with everything, but all the staff were friendly. The rooms are basic, clean & we slept like logs after a busy day exploring. If booking with EasyJet, you will be put in the annex, we paid to upgrade to the main hotel before we left the UK; obviously in high season this may not be available so book well ahead directly with the hotel as we did. Mini bar in the room, modern, immaculate bathroom with a wonderful shower, hair dryer in the bathroom so you don't have to take your own. Breakfast was lovely, if you want a full english, you will not get this here, instead we enjoyed fruit, yoghurt, cold meats, pastries & eggs, we were not hungry. There are a restaurants in the surrounding area, opposite side of the road are two very good ones, the food was amazing, as was the wine. Rome itself is stunning, while out all day sightseeing, there is no shortage of cafes, restaurants & bars. I would advise booking a tour guide, you get to jump the queues at the main attractions which are so worth seeing & paying a bit extra for. The hop on buses are good to see the sights, be careful what one you get, we used the pink ones which were just like a normal bus service & didn't take you directly to the sights, the green one seemed the best as it pulled up directly by the attractions. We would return to Rome & this hotel in a heartbeat, just remember if you are booking through Easyjet & want to be in the main hotel, email the hotel directly to request this, there is a small fee locally & you also pay city taxes on departure. Our luggage was also safe being left at the hotel all day, our flight home was late in the evening, we were welcomed to use the hotel until we were picked up by airport transfer.

Read reviews before arriving so was a bit worried about staying in the annex room, but didn’t need to it is modern spacious and on the same street as the hotel just off to the left. Well secure and safe as locked entrances in to apartments. Lovely balcony. Where ever you are staying you will be walking loads so the 25 minute walk is enjoyable into the centre you can stop along the way have a coffee an ice cream or shop til you drop. Lovely restaurant across road from hotel Terra Mia Reasonable priced £8 a pizza lovely atmosphere there too . Breakfast in morning gets busy as there is only a small eating area inside and out but plenty of choice to eat . I would recommend staying here.

We just returned from a 4 night stay at The Rome Garden. We had room 207 for 2 adults and two teenagers. Room was really clean with a nice little balcony. It was warm in the room but opening the balcony door helped. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Location is near public transport but we walked into Rome each day which was around 45 minutes. Traffic in the city was crazy so walking felt quicker than a taxi.. or bus... plus we found little coffee shops enroute. Overall it was a great stay. The area had lots of amenities which was also great. Would fully recommend this hotel for a city break in Rome.

Be aware, the Hotel is situated a 15min bus ride from main Rome attractions. Bus stop is 5 minute walk from hotel. The Hotel is set back from a busy main road in an old house-type building so the rooms are all slightly different in layout. Ours had twin beds and a pull down bed which came down from the wardrobe. High ceilings and neutral decoration. TV with Netflix, Disney+ and YouTube etc so bring your login details and remember to log out again before you leave! Rooms were satisfactorily clean and serviced daily with fresh towels. Floor was carpeted so if you’re like me and germ-phobic bring some slippers. Large window with external shutters meant we could keep the room well ventilated day and night. Bathroom was tiny but amenities were all there. Shower is in a cabinet so a bit of a tight squeeze if you are “larger”. One downside was in our 3 night stay, we were only given 2 toilet rolls, and had to ask for more at reception (slightly embarrassing)…Overall the staff were friendly and approachable and spoke good English. We left our luggage in a storage room before checking in and after check out although we could see there was no lock on the door and no ticket-system so potentially someone else could just take your luggage and no one would challenge it! We didn’t have any food at the hotel but there is a dining room serving breakfast as well as a communal type lounge area. All in all, we would return here as the price was very reasonable and made up for the journey to and from the centre of Rome.

Had a great weekend stay at the hotel. Comfortable bed and fresh towels everyday and a made bed by the service staff. Hotel located in an ideal spot just €20 euro in a taxi to the main attractions. Could do with better lighting and surface space in the bathroom. And a full length mirror in the bedroom. Breakfast was full of variety and Beaudelaire and the staff were happy and polite. Thank you for an amazing time.
