Hotel Celio in Rome

We love the location of this hotel. It was just a couple blocks from the Colosseum and so many restaurants and stores. The only issue we had was the bathroom was so small. The room was an OK size and the breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Perfect location, wonderfully decorated hotel. Our family is four have just spent 3 nights here and are very happy with our stay. The location is great, a 2 minute walk from the Colosseum (and only about an hour to The Vatican, we walked everywhere) with a number of excellent local and reasonable restaurants just a few meters away. The hotel is beautiful decorated, mosaics on all the floors, just walking to breakfast is a fascinating experience! Roberto the owner is right to be proud of his hotel and was courteous and helpful both before, via email, and whilst we were there. The room was perfectly fine for the four of us and there was no noticeable noise at night time, certainly not traffic as it's on a quiet side road. For a 'school holiday' week, I feel we got good value for money based on the decor and location. Grazie mille!

We were traveling with friends who had stayed here before. The owner & workers are very good at this hotel. The rooms are uniquely decorated along with the floor tiles. It is very close to the Colosseum --very easy walking distance. Nearby are several restaurants.

My wife and I just spent 4 days in Rome and stayed at the Celio. Roberto (the, or one of the Owners) speaks great English and could not have been nicer or more helpful with suggestions and help with transportation. We stayed in the Ambassador Suite which was spacious and very clean and well appointed in classic Italian decor. It is located on a quiet street within a very short walk to the Colosseum area. The breakfast was simple but very good and perfect for us. This has a homey feel that makes it a wonderful oasis in an otherwise busy area. There is a rooftop deck as well.

We had a most wonderful stay at the start of September. The rooms were very Romanesque and ornate..
We were treated very well by everyone especially Miroslava who was so polite and friendly. She was also very patient with my attempts to speak Italian.
The hotel is two minutes from the Colosseum and other places of interest.
So thank you to all concerned.

This is a very nice hotel which is located about two blocks from the Colosseum. Our room was beautiful. It was well appointed and spacious for European standards.The area has nice restaurants. And the breakfast at the hotel was great. If you’re looking for a place to stay down in this area, you can’t go wrong with this hotel. One word of advice if you would like an airport shuttle, be sure to contact them well in advance. However, the express train into Roma termini provides a pretty easy access to the hotel either by walking if you don’t have too much luggage or taxi if you do.

Very convenient stay, a stone throw from the Colosseum. Very kind and understanding staff. Perfect croissants for breakfast, very good scents in the corridors, classy and well set.
They ensured that I was comfortable.
They are very helpful.

The hotel had amazing finishing, art and historic preservation. I believe I saw that the building is on the historic register.
The rooftop terraces are amazing. Great views, beautifully maintained - with garden and other decoration. A really peaceful spot up there. The owner
/operator was friendly and helpful. We plan to go back next time we visit Rome.
