Aberdeen in Rome

You get what you pay for, but The Aberdeen exceeded my expectations. It's located very close to the metro and 10 mins from Roma Termini. There are lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby and about 15 mins from Vittorio Emmanuelle. All the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Ok, the room is pretty basic, but it was spotlessly clean, warm and most importantly quiet. Breakfast was basic, the scrambled eggs not good and the croissants stale on my first day. However, for about £60 a night in a central Rome location, it's hard to beat for value.

I stay at the Aberdeen Hotel every year in October or November, and my stay is always excellent. The hotel is located between the two major streets in the historic center (Quirinale and Nationale) and is within walking distance to the train station. You can also walk to almost every major attraction you would want to see in Rome. There are lots of restaurants and shops in the area as well. The staff is personable and friendly, and they always make me feel like part of their family. The breakfast is very enjoyable, and the attendants go out of their way to make you feel relaxed and welcomed. Housekeeping keeps my room extremely clean every day. I will always stay at the Hotel Aberdeen when in Rome; it is my home away from home.

There were 10 of us that spent 2 nights here (5 rooms). They were very accommodating and helped with lost luggage (lost with airline). Walkable to several tourist areas and to Metro Termi. The staff is great! Highly recommend.

I just returned from Rome, the 2nd time in 9 months. I stayed here both times-first with a tour, then by myself. I found the hotel to be a quiet oasis in a wonderful, but hectic city. The location is superb, you can get anywhere in Rome by bus or Metro easily from the hotel. The staff was very helpful and my room was basic, but clean and quiet.

It's within walking distance of the metro station and Termini station. It's a small hotel, but it was clean and comfortable. I had no issues and the front desk staff were very helpful. Considering the price, it's a good value.

My wife and I spent six nights here and enjoyed our stay very much. Our room, 35, was nice and roomy and we loved having a large window we could open for fresh air. The bed, mini fridge, AC and WiFi were great as was the hotel staff. We were disappointed there was no kettle for my morning tea but on asking at front desk they delivered one to our room within minutes. Couple of things to be aware of. There is no elevator and also there is no traditional lobby. No place to sit or gather other than your room. Location is always important and on that note the hotel is very near two metro stops that get you everywhere you need to go. And by the way, the metro system is pretty darn easy to navigate. Lots of shops and restaurants within an easy walk. Prior to arriving in Rome we had been in Italy for about 2 1/2 weeks, staying at six different hotels along the way. Both my wife and I found the included breakfast at the Aberdeen the least robust of all the hotels we stayed at. It was "ok" but there was only one hot item - scrambled eggs. I suspect one reason for the lack of hot items is because there is no restaurant at this hotel and only a small prep room next to the breakfast area. Overall this is a nice property and I want to underscore how friendly and helpful the staff were.

Friendly, welcoming hotel. Clean rooms, excellent breakfast. Typical small bathroom, having a mirror outside the bathroom have helped a lot.

I gave all the high marks for only one reason, wonderful people work in this hotel. When we checked in, there was no water in the hotel and they booked us a room in a neighboring hotel, and a higher class one. Despite the fact that we arrived very early, we were checked in immediately. This shows a very attentive attitude to guests. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

The location is safe and close to attractions. The renovation is already tired. Very tasty and plentiful breakfasts, a special delight is the beautiful ceilings in the breakfast area. Nearby is a good cheerful bar Miami with live music, delicious food and drinks.

It's close to the station and the cost performance is the best. I would like to use it again. The only drawback was that even when I arrived in front of the building using a map app, I didn't know how or where to enter. This time I went by taxi, so the driver called the hotel to confirm, so I was safe (lol). Once you know it, it's yours. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.
