Apart from that it was a very ordinary studio, quite old and not in great condition. It was okay as we spent most of our time outside in Rome sightseeing and only came back to sleep. The 3 star rating of the place is a little inaccurate. At best a 2 star, probably a 1 star. No great amenities or service. There were a few mosquitoes in the apartment too.
The host was kind enough but overall I wouldn't pick this place again if I had to come back. It was sufficient for our stay but I'd look for another place in the same area.
We arrived at midday however the check-in time in 2pm so, we left our bags here and explored the local area until we were allowed in.
The beds are a little hard and there is no soap or equipment to wash the dishes, the kettle did not work so we had to boil water on the stove.
It's a basic place but it was ok for what we needed it for, and Rome is a great place to visit.
The staff are really wonderful and cannot do enough to to help you, the room was clean and tidy and I felt very safe there. It was also SO quiet, there is a fantastic bar called Necci just twenty steps away and they do wonderful food and coffee also you can walk into a very lively area with lots of bars and resteraunts.
You have everything you need in your room, a good shower, clean good bedding and a small kitchen area to cook if you want to.
On my return I took the tram straight into Rome termini which only took 20 minutes, give it a try it's really good value for money and really all you need is somewhere safe and clean to lay your head at night. I slept so well. Thank you to the ladies who run the place they were fabulous I will see you again on my next trip to Rome! Gracie mille per tutti.
Area little more respectable (in the face of love B&B ....). Unpleasant smell of musty in the kitchen. Too little of utensils (not even a cutting board! or a saucepan!) . Doors slamming in the middle of the night. VMC unbearable in the bathroom.
Hotel to be avoided. Receptionist Linda on holiday!! 2 people having taken over did not speak a word of English gold English. No politeness. Disastrous Internet signal. Never anybody at the reception. If problem, it is necessary to ring the intercom but you are clearly disturbing them. Far from the center of Rome. No subway but an ancient tram.
Dodgy district (in front of a love B*B!). Unpleasant smell in the kitchen. Very few pots (not even a chopping board nor a pot!). Doors banging in the middle of the night. Unbearable ventilation system in the bathroom.
Overall it was a great stay, the location is really good!!
The only problem we had was a shortage of hot water for shower
