Hotel Punta San Martino in Arenzano

The hotel is highly out dated and their parking options are highly inconvenient. All of the amenities are old and not well maintained. For being owned by the same company as the Grand Hotel Arenzano, this property really falls short in terms of upkeep and staff friendliness. Also, if you’re traveling with a kid in a stroller, this is definitely not the location for you.

The air-conditioner didnt work and was not fixed until we complained. The instructions for parking was not provided which caused confusion and delay in check-in.

For me it is not comprehensible as a 4 star hotel, I would give it 3 stars at most. The two swimming pools were unkempt, paint peeling everywhere. Also the corridors and the very slow elevator are not convincing at all, as well as the emotionless dining room. Lots of stairs, making it difficult for old people or people with walking difficulties. The rooms have a large balcony, but seem cold and there is not a single picture, no decoration, nothing. The dinner as well as the breakfast buffet was only mediocre and somewhat loveless. For example, there were no fresh bread rolls or jam. The bar was like a canteen with a few small tables and seemed cold and uncomfortable. The hotel is beautifully situated on a hillside with a wonderful view of the beach and Genoa. Parking a bit awkward, various parking lots not in the immediate vicinity. We were there with our dog. Unfortunately dog unfriendly, no possibility to clean up in the complex, no green areas nearby. There are lots of trees, but even more concrete. We therefore cannot recommend this hotel, it does not meet our expectations.
