Adriana is an incredible hostess. She knows everything about the city and the region and she is super nice. The rooms are a little small but still comfortable. It's super clean and well kept. The place is located at a residential building. And the people at the building are actually really nice to the guests.
They do not offer breakfast on property, but they give you vouchers for a croissant and coffee at two local bakeries. I ate at the smallest of them, named la Reserve, and it was a real good experience, because it gave me the opportunity to meet the locals and learn from them about the best places in the city.
Many people say La Spezia is not worth visiting, but I tend to disagree. It's not only a cheap alternative to the Cinque Terre hotels. People in La Spezia are amazingly nice and welcoming and give you an authentic Ligurian experience that you might not get in bigger, busier cities, like Genoa. So, sit back and relax there, get in touch with the locals and try their food and wine.

Standard place to stay at La Spezia. We were looking for the place to stay at La Spezia and have a short trip to visit Cinque Terre. Rooms are on the 1st floor and no elevator. We have to arrange to meet up first to get into the building. The rooms were good and well equipped.

OUr experience here was not the best. When you arrived at the place which was very difficult to find as well as not easy to get to, there is no reception area and you have to phone for someone to meet you at the property. On arrival and entering the building the lift is too small to put 2 suitcases and 2 people in, so one has to walk up 3 flights of stairs and then take your suitcase down 1 flight of stairs. The room and the bathroom was below standard (small). The air conditioner was free standing and is very noisy so you cannot even use it whilst sleeping. On the second day there was no hot water to shower, but we didn't bother because we only stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was down the road at a cafe and you only got coffee & cake….very insulting for the price you paid. Forget this one and find somewhere better or don't stay in La Spezia. The cruise to Monterosso is well worth doing.

Great location close to the train station. Room had AC. Little bit of a strugle to have two suitcases open on the floor. Otherwise a nice room.

The best is the girl who attends it. Thanks.
The place, judging from our room, could be better taken care of. It's old, covers have stains, walls need a new hand of painting, just as examples. It was also cold until the girl who attends it turned the central thermostat up when I told her. The one in the room was at the top, but it depends on the other one.
Also, don't bother paying extra for the breakfast, it will be served in one Cafe in the street and will only include a coffee and a croissant. For that price you can buy yourselves a good breakfast.
Summing up, expensive considering quality.
