Villa Platamone in Como

Our stay at Villa Platamone was absolutely fantastic. We had the pleasure of staying in the Presidential Suite, which was beautifully decorated with elegant furnishings, stunning artwork, and incredible attention to detail. The statues and décor throughout the villa created a truly luxurious and unique atmosphere.

The food was exceptional—every meal was thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients, and the presentation was flawless. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, adding a warm and personal touch to our stay.

While we would have loved the pool to be heated, it didn’t take away from what was an amazing experience. Villa Platamone is a true gem, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

Alex and Katy couldn’t have found a better team! A place like Villa Platamore, with six suites, can only be as charming as their staff experience for guests, and they did not disappoint!

The Villa itself is beautiful, lovely areas to lounge, charming with history and truly stunning features. Very close to town, whilst sufficiently quaint to enjoy some calm.

Silvano is a great front of house for arriving guests; an original Como-man, and walks through the house history well.

Teresa’s breakfast wins the star of the show - absolutely lovely and excellent front of house demeanour - she is truly an asset to the team!

All in all - a perfect sanctuary from which to explore Como or hike up to Brunate….

Only minor oversights for the team to consider as could be helpful for others is; 1) on arrival in our room there was a half drunk bottle of sparkling water; so we didn’t touch that and 2) some guests may like to have their beds made / offer for new towels (or the like), great to potentially let folks know what is available in that regard early on.

Excellent experience in this villa after traveling a lot in the worldwide!!!
The people working there are all so nice and were always available to answer to all questions and do recommandations for our visit in Como. The Villa is so charming, refined, tasteful and beautiful, and the bedroom is very comfortable to sleep. I even had a problem with booking when reserving this villa due to credit card payment issue, then my reservation was cancelled by booking. But finally I contact directly Villa and they helped to to rebooked my stay again!
It’s really a wonderful place with high quality/price for a stay in lake of Como. The breakfast is also very delicious and we can eat it in the garden.
Anyway, it’s absolutely a MUST TO TRY Villa in Como. I recommande it so much!

An experience in itself!

Staff - Silvano and family could not have been more welcoming and hospitable. A genuine pleasure to have met everyone. They clearly have a passion and so much knowledge that they so gladly share about the breathtaking, historic Villa!

Location/building - 5-mins from Como on foot. Tucked away behind private gates, the most incredible building; architecture and decor that will probably never again be made by man - perfect!

Rooms - spacious and in-keeping and in the Villa. Sauna and small gym.

Food - breakfast was a delicious, fresh continental with option of hot on request (eggs/bacon). Coffee made fresh and offered regularly. The setting was a grand affair, a large classic table in the most beautiful part of the whole Villa. The option of eating al fresco on the veranda is there also.

We spent six days there. The villa is amazing, the rooms are excellently equipped above and beyond, the breakfast is exceptional and the hosts do everything to make your stay enjoyable. A place to return to as soon as possible

Beautiful, historically significant hotel with very attentive hosts.
Breakfast was perfect with everything you could want. Warm dishes were freshly prepared immediately on request. Every day there was a freshly baked, very tasty cake on the table. The rooms are a dream and transport you to a different time, but by no means appear shabby or outdated.
We would definitely recommend this house and would love to come back.
