I had an amazing experience during my stay at Hotel Metropol Suisse-Como.The central location with stunning lake views made the visit even more special. Our room was cleaned thoroughly every single day, and the standard of cleanliness was outstanding.

The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly caring and polite. The bar staff were always friendly and attentive, and the food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. I was genuinely impressed that the team even remembered exactly how I like my coffee — such a thoughtful touch that made me feel truly valued as a guest.

I was travelling with my mum, who has mobility difficulties, and the staff went above and beyond for her. They were always ready to help, often running to open the doors for her without us even asking. Their kindness really meant a lot to us.

A special mention goes to Elvira, who was wonderfully attentive and polite during breakfast every morning. She always asked about our experience and made sure we had everything we needed. The reception staff were also outstanding, regularly checking if there was anything more they could do to make our stay even better.

The food in the restaurant was superb, and it was lovely to see the owner present and engaging with guests to make sure everyone was happy.

Overall, it was a truly exceptional experience from start to finish. I cannot praise the hotel enough and will definitely be returning again and again. Highly recommended!

The entire staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to our questions & assistance. Location is great, right at the heart of Como Lake shoreline and a 5 minute walk from the Como Lago train station. The restaurant has excellent food and big portions compared to other local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again! 🤩

It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Como tram and is very close to the city center. The 24-hour Carrefour is also about 10 minutes on foot. The facilities are old, but it was fine for a night's sleep. It felt new because it had an antique feel.

We arrived late from the train station to the hotel only to find out that booking.com had messed up the reservation stating that we had a lake facing view but that wasn't the case.

Ahmad and Giuseppe I can't begin to describe how amazing you guys are. Not only did you give us fantastic advise about where to go to eat for budget friendly places, but also spoke to us like friends. We're looking forward to coming to Lake Como only to meet up with you again. :)

The beds are very comfortable and the water pressure in the bathroom is also excellent with no drainage or hot water issues. Mentioning this only because for an older hotel, these are considered regular issues.

The morning breakfast is a very good spread and is looked after on a regular basis to ensure that the items running low are replaced immediately. The staff is very friendly to talk to and ensured that the used plates were cleared up right away before we got back with our next round of plates.

The location is seriously the biggest USP of this place. The water taxi stop is literally across the street from the hotel. Can't get any better than this. We will be staying here for sure the next time we visit Como.
