Hotel l'Aretino in Arezzo

A great hotel, in a very convenient location, when taking the train in Arezzo! Hotel is small, yet very comfortable. Staff are friendly, though English is not their primary language. Room (304) was clean, with a very comfortable bed and large bathroom. Tub was huge! Breakfast was amazing! Each day, one of the staff brought homemade cakes, which we devoured. Selection is plentiful. Hotel is located on a pedestrian-only street, next to a gelato outlet, so street level noise was a bit more personal. We used a white noise app to drown it out. Our train left at 4pm, so we have 5 hours to waste on our last day. Due to rain, we waited for an hour in the hotel lobby. Staff were very accommodating. We would stay here again!

This hotel is run by a great group of women. Sara was friendly and helpful with map directions to sights worthy visiting. A big thank you to Claudia who went out of her way to arrange a takeout breakfast after we told her of our early train on the day of departure. This was much appreciated, thank you. Good wifi. Breakfast has plenty to choose from. Minimalist rooms, clean and simple with enough bathroom ammenities. Hot water could be hotter and the walls could be a bit thicker. The walls are thin! And if you have snoring neighbours, neighbours who are entertaining or friends and families who want to stand outside your door and chat it is a bit much. The outside street noise can be a problem too with groups chatting and singing and unfortunately with no overnight reception there is no one to ask them to move on or call the police if necessary. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. Do we recommend this hotel? Absolutely.

The hotel is located both close to the station and a short walk from the historic center. It is a family run, spotless room. The owners make you feel at home. I hope to return there soon!

Excellent location for visiting the center of Arezzo and beyond. The hotel is simple but by no means trivial and obvious, indeed it is the small details that make it appreciate even more. The friendly and professional management is all female and you can immediately notice it from the attention to the choice of low ecological impact consumables up to the excellent sponges and other materials chosen for the rooms. Lots of substance at a very competitive price.
