Badia di Pomaio small luxury hotels of the world in Arezzo

We were looking for a quiet and tranquil location and this is it. Wonderful views from the magnificant gardens which surround the tastefully restored monastery. The exterior and interior have been tastefully renovated to the highest standard and our room was perfect. Yet the main contribution to our stay was the warmth and oustanding service that we received from the whole service team. We loved this hotel; we have travelled all around Europe and feel this is the best we have stayed in.

Pure serenity. A gorgeous, quiet recently renovated 15th century retreat with stunning pool and grounds. The warmth and enthusiasm of the entire staff stood out. Loved it.

Fantastic experience at Badia di Pomaio. We truly enjoyed the small luxury boutique hotel, with all of the services and professionalism of a much bigger resort. Rooms were stunning, pool views was gorgeous, gardens were sumptuous... and it felt almost like a private retreat. We have traveled across the world, always looking for the best among small luxury hotels/resorts (under 20 rooms). This rivals some of our faves, with a staff that couldn't do enough for you, discrete housekeeping and excellent food. Would highly recommend.

Honestly -perfect, absolutely beautiful facility and grounds. Wonderful staff and food.

11/10 for the interiors and for the grounds and gardens. The staff were very attentive and super helpful. The only downside was the remoteness. You can’t walk anywhere but taxis are easy to book (or drive a car) to Arezzo. There were a few mozzies and flies around so bring mozzie cream.

It is difficult to describe this wonderful place. It is a very small boutique hotel with a very large presence. The grounds are stunning and the hotel used a designer to create an atmosphere that is relaxing and beautiful. Some of the furnishings are made by local artisans and clearly has focused on every little detail from the lighting to the furniture to the fabrics. There is even a really cute cat house on the property. The servers Sylvia and Erlinda were great making sure we had whatever we needed. We enjoyed the breakfasts with lots of delicious choices however we felt the dinner options were not what we normally enjoy eating. The presentations were very artistic but we felt it was more sophisticated than what we like. It was more like what a Michelin star restaurant would offer. We highly recommend this place.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. There are only 13 rooms and the service is excellent. Sitting by the pool seeing the beautiful scenery is a highlight. Very good quality food and helpful and attentive staff. It is worth the drive! Highly recommend

We stayed here for 4 nights during a 2 week trip to Italy. If it were possible to move in, we would. Badia Di Pomaio is perfect in every way. The decor is gorgeous - simple, clean, modern and warm. The grounds are breathtaking with amazing views to Arezzo and brilliant sunsets. The food is outstanding with much of it coming from the beautiful gardens on site. We saw the chefs picking produce, cutting herbs, and cutting edible flowers many times during our stay. Davide, Luis, Rosa, Iulia, Gianluca and Fillipo took such great care to make sure we were taken care of and make every moment special. We cannot thank everyone enough for our wonderful stay. The bulding, the garden, the rooms… everything was at the highest level. An old, traditional building, but you can feel everything clear and comfortable. The staff is particularly kind, helpful and flexible. The food is excellent. Gregorio, the cat of the house is cute. I am sure we will return!

Our stay at Badia di Pomaio was nothing short of exceptional. The entire hotel was absolutely stunning and beautifully maintained and managed. We spent three days in July for a portion of our Honeymoon and it was easily the most relaxing and peaceful part of our trip. The entire staff was attentive and helpful. Each meal we had was delicious and we really enjoyed the onsite wine tasting we did in their wine cellar. We would absolutely recommend a stay here!
