We booked Portrait Firenze for our stay in Florence after having a great experience at Portrait Milano last summer. The hotel is centrally located and right on the Ponte Vecchio with outstanding views from the rooms. The service was A+ and our room was spacious, luxurious and comfortable. The breakfast spread in the morning was also absolutely incredible. The only thing that would have made this hotel even better for me would be a gym, but as someone that likes to pack in one million activities into their vacation schedule this location was perfect. We didn’t take a cab our entire stay and were able to easily walk everywhere we needed to go. Now I will need to go to Rome to stay at the original location!

Our stay at Portrait Firenze was absolutely exceptional — a perfect blend of Florentine charm, understated luxury, and truly personalized service. From the moment we arrived, the team and especially mr Vladimir, made us feel not like guests, but like cherished friends returning home. Every detail — from the warm welcome and the impeccable suite design to the breathtaking views over the Arno — reflected the essence of refined Italian elegance.

The rooms are beautifully appointed, with thoughtful touches that make the experience both intimate and indulgent. The beds are heavenly, the linens divine, and the marble bathrooms feel like a private spa. We especially loved the little gestures — personalized notes, tailored recommendations, and the feeling that everything was arranged just for us.

Breakfast by the river was a dream: fresh, beautifully presented, and served with genuine care. The concierge team deserves special mention for their impeccable taste and ability to anticipate our every need — from dinner reservations to hidden gems around the city.

Portrait Firenze isn’t just a hotel — it’s an experience of pure sophistication and warmth, where luxury feels effortless. We left with hearts full and can’t wait to return.

Amazing hotel with an excellent location, just perfect for exploring the area. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. We spent 3 nights at Portrait Firenze and were blown away by the service. Matteo and his team were exceptional—every detail was taken care of, making our stay completely effortless. Beautiful rooms, stunning river views, and warm, genuine hospitality. We left feeling truly cared for and can’t wait to return!

Very nice and spacious room, staffs are very friendly. Very nice outdoor seating for view and have a cigar. The only down side is it doesn’t have a gym, but you can tun outside by the river.

First of all, I only write reviews of places I feel are exceptional. The Portrait Firenze is one of them. Beautiful hotel located in Firenze. My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of August. Not only is the location perfect, the team behind this hotel are amazing. Alessandro was so kind and helpful. Always asking if we needed anything or how our day was. The room was beautiful, clean, and was always made up before we arrived back from our day. Breakfast was delicious and high quality. We had a balcony that overlooked the river and the Ponte Vecchio. The elevator even had a selfie camera that was hilarious. What a great idea. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Firenze. Ferragamo flagship store is steps down the road and includes a museum all about the creation of Ferragamo shoes! The restaurant downstairs is delicious, I could go on and on. If you're looking for luxury in the heart of Florence then look no further. This hotel stay created beautiful memories for us. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special.

Booked almost a year in advance. Portrait Firenze insisted on a prepayment to secure the room. Against better judgement I prepaid €16000+ to secure my room. Upon arrival I was told I was given an “upgrade” to a better room. The room was much smaller but could accommodate 4 people and had 2 toilets. We had 2 people in my party, we did not need the upgrade. We wanted the room we paid for because we could not use the “upgrades” and the Timeless Suite we booked had significant sentimental value. We were ok to prepay at a premium to secure the room. They gave away our room and gave us a much smaller random room and claims they did nothing wrong even when we prepaid in full.

I wasted 2 days, had to cancel 2 private tours that were fully paid for and more than $600 in international phone calls to get a discount equivalent to 1 night stay for a screw up that was completely the hotel’s fault. So I basically lost $4600 excluding my time and was reimbursed about $1500.

This hotel is beyond incredible! The location, the rooms and the service are all 5 star. Very family friendly too. Sara, one of the concierges was incredible. I highly recommend this hotel!
