Residenza D'Epoca Historia Luxury in Florence

We stayed in one of the rooms for a night July 2025. It was during the weeks, so some things regarding noise may vary during weekends.

Room: Our bedroom and bathroom were two separate rooms with different keys.
The bedroom had a really strange smell to it and wasn't clean. We found an old vape under the bed so it wasn't properly cleaned at all, the source of the smell is still a mystery though.
The bathroom was in a worse condition. It smelled like mold and you could see mold everywhere you looked. I'm not exaggerating, this bathroom simply wasn't usable. I wouldn't have stepped into that shower if you paid me money for it.
To get to the room you had to walk up two or three flights of stairs which wasn't ideal but manageable even with heavy luggage.

Location: The location is quite central in Florence next to a lot of bars and maybe a 10 minute walk to the dome.
The entrance is a little hard to find if you depend on Google Maps, read the instructions from the hotel carefully.
Although there is a bar that's open till 3am next door, we didn't have much trouble sleeping. It's noisy, yes, but isolated enough to not be too disturbing.
It's located in the LTZ (low traffic zone). Please be aware that you need to book a garage place for your car if you come there by car, otherwise you'll face a fine imposed by the city. The hotel assisted us in finding a garage spot.

Reception: Like others described, the reception hours are pretty strict and you have to come on time in order to check-in properly.
The hotel doesn't provide a 24 hours service.
The check-in personnel seemed friendly and helpful to us.

Overall: If our stay has been longer than one night, I would've left early and searched for a new place to stay.
If you have no standards whatsoever about the hygiene in your room and just want to stay kind of central in Florence for a night, then you can pick this hotel, otherwise I would strongly recommend something else.

This place is not accessible whatsoever. There were three large flights of stairs that we had to drag our bags up in order to get to our room. On top of that, the staff were not friendly or very helpful. When we checked in, they literally took five minutes sitting on their phones before they greeted us. Then, when we realized that the property had so many stairs (a bigger issue for us than most people, as my mom has severe mobility issues), they offered no further assistance. Of course, it’s not like they could magically remove the stair when we arrived, but they could have at least offered to help us with our bags or have offered a refund should we need to switch hotels. But they couldn’t care less. I won’t be recommending this place to any friends interested in visiting Florence. As for hotel cleanliness, we did not see any signs of housekeeping while we stayed there and we were provided with only one roll of toilet paper. Additionally, the mini fridge was not functioning properly.

Although the location was convenient for getting around, the property was quite run down, and not clean at all. The washroom floor was still wet when we arrived, and there was a lot of black and red mold inside the showers which is a health hazard as well…we also noticed a lot of mosquitos and moths, and a lot of noise from the windows although they were closed
