We had great time at La Casa di Morfeo! It is such a cute hotel in a great area. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We are very disappointed with the hotel’s lack of understanding and flexibility regarding our situation. Our flight was cancelled due to exceptional and uncontrollable circumstances in the region, and the airspace was fully closed. Despite informing the hotel of this situation more than 14 days before our scheduled stay, they insisted on charging the full reservation amount as a cancellation fee. This is especially disheartening given that the hotel is fully booked and clearly in high demand, meaning our room could have easily been resold. We had hoped for more empathy and reasonable consideration in such extraordinary circumstances, but unfortunately, this was not the case.

We had a water leak from the ceiling, which was terrible. They were very apologetic, still it is unacceptable. It's not really a hotel, just a few rooms in the building rented out to tourists. The breakfast is not good. Location is ok, 15-20 minutes walk to main plazas and good restaurants.

No front desk available except for check in and out.
Breakfast for one hour 7:30 am ?????and nobody even informed us.
If you want to charge your phone you need to sleep with lights on while somebody is using a drill the entire night.

The staff and the architecture of the room are the best. We only stayed for one day and a half and staff made great recommendations for food, places to visit, and even helped us get museum tickets. Eternally grateful for making our stay so enjoyable and easy!

I loved my room, when the digital portion of licking the room safe did not work and the digital room key had some trouble, they immediately provided me with keys to the safe as well as my room and the outside entrance way, which was only marked by a 8"x11" metal sign. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. I would definitely stay there again,

We stayed here for six nights in September & very happy with our decision to choose La Casa di Morfeo. The Santa Croce district location was close to the cathedral, the Bargello, and the Arno River. The hotel is quite small, more like a bed-and-breakfast than a full-scale hotel. It was charming and the staff were friendly and happy to help you with directions, calling cabs, making recommendations. Breakfast is basic but will get you started in the morning. The room was a decent size with a king bed & coffee service. The shower was really nice - four shower-heads mounted on the wall plus the overhead stream - a great way to end an exhausting day sightseeing! An excellent coffee/cocktail bar is across the street and a great neighborhood pizza spot is down the block (Caffe-Bistrot Malborghetto). We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to those looking for a quiet, local neighborhood.
