I spent 6 nights with my mom here. Receptionists were very very friendly, a small hotel that has a double lock mechanism on the main door so the security is guaranteed. Very near the train station and a short walk away to the duomo. They spoke good English and were very patient to accommodate me trying to practice my Italian with them. Free breakfast was delicious, one of the ladies with curly hair bakes different cakes every morning (her cake with cream freshly squeezed orange juice as well as the round pastry with coconut and white chocolate were so delicious), they’re so delicious and made with love, really an unforgettable part of my Italian trip. The rooms were also very clean and recently renovated, the toilet was beautiful. They even lent me their wine glasses (and offered to lend me their bottle opener) for me to drink wines in their hotel.
I’ll remember this place and will make sure I come back again my next holiday in Italy.

We stayed here for one night while passing through. The room was small, but clean, with a spacious bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities. It was close to the train station. It was perfect for one night!

Overall was a very good stay. Location was excellent very close (5-10 min walk) to the street car that takes you to the airport and also the train station. Also, walking distance to all the major sites in Florence. My only complaint is breakfast is served starting 7:30am. We booked 6 nights and we only able to have breakfast 3 times because we book our day tours which starts between 7:30-8am. You need to be there early and walk to the meeting point is another 15-20 min so breakfast at the hotel is out of the question. We ended up having to buy coffee and pastry at the train station.

Very clean, tidy and well-located hotel. Just 5 minutes from Florence/Firenze train station, trams and busses. Good breakfast with made-to-order eggs. Staff very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Good location to explore Florence from. Breakfast was intimate with everyone on one table, but recommend the scrambled eggs

This quaint hotel was our favourite in Italy! The location was perfectly situated. We easily walked to all attractions, woke to the sound of horses trotting and always felt safe. The inclusive breakfast was a la cart and delicious. The triple room was comfortable for our family of 4. We loved Florence & Hotel La Scala !

The location of the hotel is simply perfect, right in front of the historic Santa Maria Novella pharmacy. The building itself is old, and unfortunately, the entrance feels somewhat neglected. The elevator is currently out of service, which does impact convenience.
The breakfast system could be managed more efficiently, although it serves its purpose. The rooms, on the other hand, fulfill their function well, with a bathroom that was absolutely spotless and highly functional. The air conditioning works, though not always consistently.
Overall, the value for money is good. I would consider staying again, but I truly hope management addresses some of these details—most importantly, the entrance and the elevator—as they would significantly elevate the overall guest experience.
