Agriturismo San Vettore in Gambassi Terme

My family arrived at San Vettore 11 days into a 16 day tour of Spain and Italy. The four of us were all worn out from the road and needed a little time to recharge. From our first contact with Massimo we realized what a calm and helpful host that we would have for the next three nights. The Hotel is located between two of the most amazing Tuscan towns, Volterra(25 minutes) and San Gimangiano (15 minutes). We ventured into each of these in the late afternoons explored and had dinner with some great wine. The resort is down a long gravel road where all you hear in the mornings are birds singing, afternoons the cicadas chirping and crickets rounding out the night shift. Nature surrounds you at this location but it is not without many great creature comforts like the pool, outdoor kitchens, game rooms, workout facilities and an organic garden ripe for the helping you pull together a great lunch or dinner. The four of us left San Vettore all refreshed and ready to take on Rome. If I ever find myself back in Tuscany I would love to spend an extended stay here in this beautiful place with the wonderful people that run it.

It is the second they have that we come and we are always enchanted by this wonderful place.
The very kind and helpful owner farmhouse surrounded by nature has no restaurant service but a beautiful vegetable garden available to tourists a beautiful swimming pool area with deck chairs and barbecue gazebo to spend beautiful evenings, volleyball court, bowling green, table tennis, board games and gym everything you need to keep you busy.
The well-kept masonry houses all with a barbecue with wood always supplied by the farm, clean rooms spacious bathroom some houses like ours, has a porch with grapes that if you go in the period and is ripe you can taste really delicious.
About 30 minutes away there is the beautiful city of San Giminiano and Volterra.

Do not refer to the website because it is not the one relating to Mr. Denti Massimo but, to a nearby structure with an almost identical name.

Really perfect for all those, who are seeking for some silence and relaxation. The only sound you hear in the morning is humming of the bees, looking out from you terrace into the valey and hills full of whine and olive trees. Yes, it is in some distance to the next restaurant or bar, but we are happy to enjoy our evenings with cooking and reading books with a bottle of perfect Chianti Classico. I come here sporadicc since 2000 and love this place.
