Hotel Borgo Antico in Monteroni d'Arbia

The only positive aspect of this hotel is its peaceful and beautiful location near a village on the outskirts of Siena. Beyond that, my stay was a complete nightmare. The hotel itself is fairly basic, which would have been fine, but the service and safety were completely unacceptable. At checkout, the front desk tried to charge me a second time for my room. When I refused to pay the extra money, the receptionist became completely irate with me. I had to stand my ground and eventually left without giving them any more money. To make matters worse, I parked my motorbike in the hotel car park, and someone attempted to steal it during my stay. Between the hostile staff trying to scam me and the complete lack of security for vehicles, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Avoid this hotel.

Only 2 clumsy waiters for the whoöe restaurant. They did not pay attention at all - forgot one dish, served the bottle of beer without opening it and spilled the salad dresing all over the table. Just good luck that it did not drop on our clothes.

Food was not tasty at all.

They spoke English - but that was the only positive about this place.
