Borgo Vescine in Radda in Chianti

We loved every minute of our stay! There were incredible musicians one night which made the evening so much more special! Drinks and aperitivos always amazing. The wine and olive oil by them is just a gift! Everyone is so kind and sweet.

Pretty little stony house hotel in the heart of Chianti mountains. The room we had was basic, so it could've been better but it was still nice. The bed could be more comfortable, the free wifi had no reception in our room which was really not that great. The breakfast was ok, the pool we didn't swim in because it was too cold. There is a wine cellar with free wine tasting but we didn't have time to try. The location was very tricky because it's basically in the middle of nowhere, approx.1hour from Firenze. Without a car it's impossible to get there. Also there are no shops or any kind of infrastructure in the proximity. It's very quiet and remote from the loud everyday life. Great view of the Toscany countryside. The staff is nice and helpfull. Would recommend it for people seeking relaxing quite place and families with small kids.

My partner and I just returned from a stay in this breathtaking corner of Chianti, and we are already counting down the days until we can return. It is truly a piece of paradiso where time seems to stand still. What made our stay exceptional was the incredible hospitality. The hotel director was super welcoming, marina us feeling special from the very first moment. Furthermore, the entire staff was impeccable; the service was flawless, and their constant, genuine smiles added such a warm, personal touch to our romantic escape

We've just booked a return to Borgo Vescine for June because we're still daydreaming about our fantastic 4-day stay there last early September. Nestled in the heart of Chianti Classico, surrounded by endless vineyards, the perfect temperatures made every moment magical..we woke up to golden light and crisp air. The wine cellar tastings were a dream, with exceptional local vintages paired with genuine hospitality that made us feel truly pampered. We can't wait to go back, this gem is pure Tuscan bliss for couples. Highly recommend!

An absolutely wonderful experience here. The views are spectacular, accommodations are lovely. The best part is the staff who go out of their way to make sure everything is perfecto! I great break from the hustle of Florence. Bravo!

Accomodation: 5 star because more doesn’t exist in Europe. It was a touch of the italian history. Marvelous place, piece by piece masterclass. Food? Wine? Stuff? Stuff was professionally experienced, kind and friendly. Food? Noble. Somelier? Serena was like Messi or Maradona in football.

It was a wonderful location with many unique qualities. Very professional and attentive staff and good place to base out of for Tuscany day trips. Beautiful surroundings.

This place is amazing - every view is a postcard of Tuscany. The whole village, staff, food, drink all endearing, hospitable, and exactly what we wanted in a Tuscan holiday. The pool is epic, perched on a terrace with views to Radda.

Prices of things once you’re there (wine, food, cocktails etc) all very reasonable.

If you’re planning a trip here - which you should - there are some quirks worth knowing:

The rooms are dark and “traditional” due to the fact everything is hundreds of years old. Don’t stress as you won’t spend a lot of time in them. A/c shower/hot water all perfect.

Transport around this area is tricky. If you don’t have a car, you’ll need to book transport a fair way in advance. One evening we were stuck at the hotel (literally no cabs anywhere between sienna and Florence). Staff did their best, but nothing available.

Saying that, there is a restaurant about a (rather undignified by the side of road) 10min walk from the hotel. It was very, very good - arguably better than the restaurant at the hotel (which is also great) and a touch cheaper.

There is no laundry service, so if you’re mid-trip keep that in mind.

There are some idiosyncrasies, but all in all I would have extended my trip by a week if I could. Unfortunately for us, a couple had the place booked for a wedding over the weekend. Lucky them, this place is heaven.
