Convenient stay at Blue Ridge Hotel, front desk staff hospitality is one of the best I’ve received despite the language barrier.

Amenities are slim but what they do have is top notch. Shuttles are available to/from the ski resorts and nearest JR station, and are synced to opening/closing/arrivals/departures. Onsen is a great plus in winter trips, and the outdoor bath is a beautiful snow filled forest at night.

The staff are nice, however, after entering the room it’s quite terrible due to smelly and very humid. Besides, you can’t find the outlet plug for your electric devices. There are many spots needed to be improved, because all the food for breakfast everyday is the same. There is not much choices and only very few vegetables. The food quality is just fair. If any other hotel choices I definitely won’t choose this one.

Friendly staffs and welcoming smiles.
Can take “Bus to Kannabe” to stop around here.
The resort has the nostalgic feel with imported Europe furniture.
Rooms were larger compared with modern hotels. Soft comfy beds. Separate bathrooms and large mirror.
Should include breakfast and dinner if visiting here as there’s limited restaurant(one🥹) nearby.
There’s free service for Bicycles use and sports.

Closest mini supermarket/souvenir, Bakery store, restaurant, and even public onsen at “ Kannabekogen Rest Area ”. A 550m walk but you can use free bicycles and it’s fun.
Skiing available during January. If planning for winter sports.
Onsen has indoor and outdoor.
Variety of dishes to enjoy during dinner and breakfast.
Lots of tea choices and fun to explore.
Shuttle Bus to and from Ebara station are available. Be sure to notify the front.

A quiet hotel in the forest It feels old, but the rooms are spacious and I really like the country feel. The hot spring is good, and the open-air bath where you can enjoy the starry sky is also nice. However, the only way to go down from the second floor to the first floor is by stairs, which are quite steep, so it may not be convenient for the elderly. The food is buffet style for both dinner and breakfast, and the staff are very friendly and the food tastes good, but unfortunately the variety is limited. I was happy that there were rice balls at breakfast, but the fillings were too elaborate, which was a shame. I would have preferred kelp or pickled plums. Most of the food is placed on a table in the center, so it is inevitably crowded. I wish they had put a little more thought into the placement. As the concept of "go do nothing" suggests, you can relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The stars in the night sky are particularly noteworthy! You can't see many stars in Kobe city, but you can see them well from the hotel. When I stayed there last fall, I was impressed that I could see the Big Dipper clearly. However, this time it was a bit cloudy so I couldn't see many stars, which was disappointing.

Spacious room. Several vending machines around the hotel. Ski and snowboard gear rental and transport to the ski trail. A real nice hotel if you are planning on going skiing and or snowboarding. However checking first if the ski area open is highly recommended. When I went there, there was only one ski area that was opened, that was even a man-made snow.

Nice and spacious. The hotel is surrounded by nature. The environment is quite and peaceful yet you can find what you need in the vicinity of the Hotel!

I booked this hotel online by looking at its photo of the room. It looks okay.
So I booked it, even the price was not cheap, costed $USD 255 per night ( not included breakfast and dinner)
I regretted so much. When we checked in. Cos the facility and service was bad. Staff could not speak and understand English well. And the air conditioning of the room was strange. It was 7 degree Celsius outdoor on that night. The room temperature was sometimes low, and sometimes was super hot when we fell asleep. It made our sleeping quality very bad.
There were 2 restaurants in the hotel, one was closed at 19:00 sth already. I could only have a buffet dinner in lobby restaurant which totally disappointed me with very limited choices, all the food were cold, only tempera was freshly made. The taste of the food was not good😨. But it was expensive, I paid $USD45 per head. It was an disaster for me in this trip. I was hungry and could not sleep well there.
