The location is convenient, and the hotel staff are warm and thoughtful. I really liked it and will definitely come again next time! (The previous review was already very detailed, so I'm just leaving a quick comment as I saw a pending review here. I'll definitely be back next time I visit Kyoto!)
Traveling to Kyoto with my family, choosing to stay here was definitely the right decision. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Kyoto Station, which is incredibly convenient. The buffet breakfast is on the 17th floor, offering lovely views of Higashiyama and the Kamo River. The breakfast spread is quite extensive and the quality is good.
Hotel Okura Kyoto was the most pleasant surprise of our entire trip. First off, you can walk directly into the hotel from the subway. After getting off the subway, you enter a shopping mall, and the walk from the mall to the hotel has a very upscale feel to it. The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming; we weren't sure how to get to the lobby for check-in from a shop in the mall, and a staff member...
We recommended this hotel to all kinds of travelers from nearby beautiful places and shopping areas spacious room, delicious meals and good services
Beautiful and very hospitality hotel
Top end hotel of all we tried while traveling around Japan. Large room, spacious bathroom, good quality beds and pillows.
Convenient central Kyoto location, next to subway station and in close proximity to many local attractions. If you a keen runner, there is a beautiful run and walking route around the river and map is provided by hotel.

Stayed here for 4 days with friends and had a very good experience.
The location is excellent, right near Shinsaibashi, making it very easy to walk around, shop, and find food.
Rooms were clean and comfortable, and housekeeping was consistent throughout the stay.
Staff were polite and helpful, even with language differences.
Amenities are simple but sufficient for a longer stay focused on exploring...
Nice hotel. Near restaurant area. next to train station. Nice staff. The most I love is... smoking room. Good price for Osaka.
Really good hotel. It takes about 15 minutes of walking to reach Namba. Rooms were above average in-size and hotel was located off the busy nightlife area.
2-3 minutes walk to train station easy with luggage. This is my second time staying in this hotel. Will definitely return.
great service, good location next to exit 4 of NAGAHORIBASHI metro station
free ice
free amenities
free microwave
but the bed was a bit small and blanket too
and also bad smell from smoke🥲 all over the first floor
This hotel is under Hotel Route Inn management. So the room is as usual to be small and cramped. Yet its facilities are far less than Hotel Route Inn. No public bath. Poor breakfast variety choice. Chargeable car parking. Hotel also locates 10 mins. to 15 mins. walk from all tourist spots.
Hotel serves guests in tourist region rather than key business region. Tourists like to have snapshots...
The hotel is very close to popular shopping areas, just a short walk away. There's enough space in the room to fully open a suitcase, and the staff are very enthusiastic.

Location was amazing. Hotel was exactly what you needed, but nothing more. Rooms were a bit small. Bathrooms were a little smelly. Bit right in the middle of everthing you needed. Close to all the pokemon cards, close to dontabari. Close to the markets. Good for the location.
Location is the best bit. Straight into the Dotonbori district, closer to Namba station, and there is a Lawson directly over the road. Rooms are clean and comfy. My only feedback is that rooms and bathroom are on the small side, and pillows a bit flat. Otherwise great. I'd stay again.
Location was great. The shopping streets are right beside it! Filled with restaurants, pharmacies, Japanese food wares, connected to multiple shopping streets. Namba train station 8mins walk away, Kuromon market 5mins walk and many more.
Apa hotel do not provide daily housekeeping or bottled water (welcome bottled water only on day1), they does it every 3rd day and provide the towels exchange at your...
Have stayed at other apa hotels and they were great. This was a bit small. No room for suitcase. No under bed storage making it feel extra cramped. Refused 20 min early check-in despite the room being ready and already waiting 3 hours wanted 2000y fee. So sat and waited. Customer service concept is non existent when it comes to check-in, obviously early check-in is a money maker for Apa. I think western...
I recently stayed at APA Hotel Namba-Eki Higashi and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from Namba Station and very close to Dotonbori, making it super convenient for sightseeing and food hunting. There’s also a Lawson convenience store right opposite the hotel, which was really handy for grabbing snacks, drinks, or anything needed during the stay...
Its predominant advantage of this nation-renowned chain hotel is the location - 5-minute walk from/to the train station and near the traveler’s most beloved local store - the Donki mall. Tightly moderate room space with season-dependent varying prices. Bathroom like most of everywhere else in Japan has tiny compartment which, in my opinion, the European guys might probably find it uncomfortable. The...

Nice location, good breakfast. Convenient location, close to train station. In between the two main hubs within Osaka, would highly recommend.
Very pleasant place!
Appreciate support from hotel for a personnal request
Convenient location, clean rooms, but the mattress was uncomfortable and there was no water cooler on my floor.
This is a great hotel located close to all the attractions. Its also close to train stations that gets you to Osaka and Namba stations quickly. The hotel staff are all nice and very helpful. The everyday breakfast was great. Highly recommend this hotel.
Everything else was fine, but they were supposed to clean the room every three days, and when I got back at night, it hadn't been cleaned at all, not even the trash was emptied. I checked out on the fourth day, and it really ruined my mood late at night ☹️
It was a good experience. The breakfast is really nice and room is also good.

Room size & setting 👍🏻 Coffee machine is fit & easy to handle
The room isn't huge, but it's perfectly sufficient for one person. It's located right above Namba Station on a high floor, offering amazing panoramic views of the entire Namba area. Since it's the off-season, the hotel was also very affordable.
Very elegant classy European-like hotel. The lobby makes you feel you are in a 5 or 6 stars hotel! You will see a small cathedral in the lobby. The location is just beside OCAT which is super helpful if you are taking the airport limousine bus. It is next to a big supermarket too. To take subway, use exit 30 which is right in front of the hotel. Rooms are big enough to open up two 24 inch luggages...
Better than expected stay. Convenient less than 10 mins walk to JR Namba station and Dontobori area. Beautiful City view
Super clean, comfortable bed. Quiet room. 6 stars. Can walk everywhere
The view from the room was absolutely 100/100! I specifically chose Namba this time because I didn't want to get lost in Umeda. Turns out, if you follow Google's directions to JR Namba Station's Exit 32, you'll find the hotel in a second! Plus, the bus stop for Kansai Airport is right next door. The hotel's location is unbeatable.

The room was very clean and spacious. The hotel is right next to a bus stop and a convenience store, which made getting around super easy. All the staff were really welcoming and provided excellent service. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Kyoto!
The service was great, and the environment was nice too. The main advantage is the convenient location, very close to the tram station, making it easy to get anywhere. There are also many supermarkets and convenience stores nearby, which is handy for shopping. However, it's a bit of a shame that the public bath isn't a hot spring.
I was very satisfied with this hotel. It was clean and hygienic, and a taxi ride from Kyoto Station cost about 1500 yen. When I checked out, the Shijo branch helped transfer my luggage to the Mitsui Garden Hotel in front of Kyoto Station for only 500 yen. I had originally scheduled to pick up my luggage at 6 PM, but my plans changed, and I went to pick it up at 1:50 PM. The staff helped me with my...
Extremely satisfied! 😀 The lobby always smells amazing, and I got an incredible price for a 5-night stay this time. Super happy! I'll definitely be back! Always beautiful Kyoto!
I stayed here about eight or nine years ago, and it's still just as good! I'll definitely choose it again next time I'm in Kyoto!
This was my first stay at Mitsui Shijo, and its location helped me discover several delicious and affordable restaurants nearby. Overall, the stay was great, but I really can't recommend the public bath. It was crowded, and none of the tubs were being filled, which made me worry about the hygiene. Generally very good
Room is big enough and equipped with makeup table
Location good
Carpark good
Have coffee corner in lobby
The food in the breakfast session is just above average, no big surprise. Others are excellent.
The location is nice as you have shelter to the Osaka Station. Will recommend the others to stay.
Not the hotels’ fault that I picked this location, most of the food and shopping we wanted was just a train ride away.
Getting into the hotel between 3 and 4pm was difficult because of check in being on the second floor and buses of guests arriving at that time. All were using the lifts to get to reception, so we had to go somewhere else while the new arrivals checked in.
The location is good surrounding with lots of resturant and shops. JR stations are also nearby. I ordered goods twice from Amazon Japan delivered to hotel and the services were very good.
Monterey Group hotels really have great taste! Definitely worth staying at!

It was pretty good; I stayed here when I was attending a conference. The 7-Eleven right across from the hotel was very convenient. There are also direct public transport links to the Sannomiya area nearby, making it easy to get around. Overall, it's a good place.
Overall, the room was clean and spacious. The lighting could be dimmed, which was nice. The staff are kind and give a warm welcome. However, the room and carpet were a bit old, which is understandable given the property’s age.
- Close to 7-Eleven
- near Portliner station (can walk in 4-5 mins)
The location is nearby Kobe airport, port-island. Nearby Ikea - Kobe. The room is clean and comfortable to stay. I just had issue a bit with the AC. Clean hotel room, good facilities. Bed mattress was hard, which I liked. Pillow was too hard. As a pretty tall person I could not stand up straight in bathroom. Location is walking distance for business district, and close to public transport.
I chose this hotel because I had a conference at the convention centre not knowing I have limited choice of getting something to eat (looking for halal option). Despite being away from the city they charge for parking and also despite being a platinum elite member no benefits extended. They were pretty stuck about everything and I did not enjoy the lack of care. We celebrated my wife’s 50th birthday there and they were aware and the gift that was kept in the room was 2 sachets of bath salt. Something really needs to be done in terms of service.
This hotel stay was quite bizarre from start to finish. First off, because we booked during maple leaf season, the price was in the four figures, but neither the service nor the facilities met the standards one would expect for that price point or for a 5-star hotel, as some reviews claimed. The hotel's location is actually quite convenient; although it's a bit far out, it's very close to the subway...
The location is quiet, the hotel environment is excellent, and the service is very professional. The rooms are spacious with great views, and opening the window lets in fresh air. The welcome gift was a pleasant surprise. The only downside was the high price due to the holiday season.
The environment here is great, very tidy and clean. The breakfast was delicious, and the location is super convenient for visiting nearby temples. Getting around by subway is also very easy. Overall, the hotel felt very quiet and comfortable.
Excellent! The room was very spacious and clean. The front desk service was also great. This was the most satisfying stay during my trip to Japan.
They upgraded us to a massive suite, which was a pleasant surprise and a little unexpected 😀. The hotel itself has good facilities and service. I booked this hotel based on recommendations, and the location is indeed excellent, plus the surrounding area is quiet, and the staff service is great. However, the room is really too small; there's no space to open a suitcase. It's barely okay for one night, but staying longer would feel cramped.
The room size is good, we could open three suitcases at once. The amenities inside are excellent, all brand-name products. The location is superb, with several transport lines nearby, making it convenient to go anywhere. This time, my friends and I went to Osaka for a concert, and staying here was incredibly convenient and fast.
Hygiene: The room was very clean. For guests staying multiple nights, a full cleaning is provided every three days; otherwise, they offer towel changes and trash bag replacement.

nice view, comfortable, calm, good shuttle bus service,
The hotel interior is quite new. They offer a shuttle service, which is shared with the Okura Hotel. It's a small bus, with half the seats allocated to the Oriental and half to the Okura. If it's busy, you need to get in line early or you won't get a seat. My room had a view of the Ferris wheel. Overall, it was very good.
The sea view room offers an unbeatable view, with the Ferris wheel and Kobe Port Tower all visible. The room is spacious and very clean, with a balcony where you can watch both sunrise and sunset. The hotel's breakfast is highly recommended, with a wide variety of Japanese and American options, including freshly made mini-burgers – definitely give them a try!
The room and balcony are both quite spacious. It faces the sea and the hygiene is excellent. Both in terms of location and room quality, it feels like the best hotel in Kobe. The hotel lobby and exterior are also very beautiful. It's definitely worth staying here.
An iconic landmark by the harbor! From the balcony, you can even see the queue of people taking pictures in front of 'Be Kobe.' Although there's no subway nearby, the shuttle bus to Sannomiya runs roughly three times an hour. The rooms are spacious, and the pajamas are very comfortable.

Nearby to attractions
Nearby to dotonbori
Nearby to all convenient stores
Best location! Just beside the dotonbori.
Room abit dark, but overall experience is acceptable.
We love our stay in Holiday Inn Osaka. Definately will stay here again for our next trip🤩 Walking distance 6minute to Dontobori. Clean room, a bit spacious compared to others hotel. Recommended.
The room was clean, tidy, and spacious, making for a very comfortable stay. The surrounding area has a complete range of commercial facilities, making dining, accommodation, and transportation very convenient. I recommend visiting the nearby Shinsaibashi for photos and delicious food.
