Tidy and clean lobby
Room size is not big, but fully unitilized. Good design and some useful tools, like little hooks, microwave, plates and etc, are provided in room.

For travelers who combine business trips with solo travel,
this is one of the hotels I highly recommend from my experiences around the world.

Compared to large hotels that often feel busy and impersonal,
MIRU offers a refined cultural atmosphere with genuine warmth.
The space feels calm, thoughtful, and truly comfortable.

On the final day of my stay, I had to wake up at 5:00 a.m. to catch a flight.
The female staff at the front desk kindly helped confirm the taxi destination multiple times
and assisted with communicating clearly with the driver.
Before I left, she also reminded me to take the croissant breakfast prepared by the hotel
and kindly saw me off in person.

These thoughtful details made the entire journey feel warm and reassuring.
I sincerely recommend MIRU to anyone who values quality, culture, and human touch while traveling.

It was compact, clean, and had everything I needed.
The room felt larger than I expected.
It's a little far from the nearest station, but if you walk to the shopping district it's not that bad.

Enjoyed my stay here.

Room and floor plan was spacious enough for a solo traveller. The room had no natural light coming through though but it didn't bother me.

Breakfast croissants were a great touch. There's also a laundry room the guests can use anytime which was super handy.

Staff were so helpful, proactive and friendly. They assisted with organising courier service to have my luggage sent to another city, book another night keeping me in the same room etc.

Location was also really good. 2-3min walk to Nishiki Market etc, lots of little boutiques and cafes in the back streets too.

Would stay again.

Reserved a Tatami Room for myself. Hotel is close is very convenient, easy to public transportation and plenty of food and shopping options nearby. Staff is very friendly and I was allowed early check-in as the room was ready when I arrived. Though the room is for a single traveler, it's quite large with enough space to actually open your suitcase (which is rare in single rooms in Kyoto). The entire room was clean, bathroom was nice , with quality amenities. My only issue was with the air conditioner which was too loud and too strong, even set at the lowest power setting. Also, as my room was on the first floor, it was quite dark with no view. Other than that, a perfect stay.

Very close to Nishiki Market. 5 minutes walk. Kyoto is big, and you can walk to almost anywhere you go. The room is small, a normal Japanese style room. There are many rooms to choose from nearby. Overall this one is recommended. I might choose another hotel next time I go there. For example, the room closer to the east.

Lovely service and our steaks were cooked to perfection. Delightfully cosy inside, and also the music was great!

My rating is for the ryokan experience, which is incredibly accommodating and comfortable. The room was roomy and the bed soft and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make our whole stay as easy and relaxing as possible. Me and my girlfriend stayed six nights and had a lot of heavy luggage, and after checkout the staff called a taxi, sat us down and gave us hot coffee while we waited, and then gave us an umbrella and loaded our luggage into the taxi.

Hands down the best out of five places we stayed at during our Japan trip.

Easy going, simple and nice. Menu isn't very diverse but that's ok, food/beer combination is well thought about. There are 2 tables next to the entrance (at the right) which are facing sun in the afternoon, it's particularly good in summer.

Cute café and mix of ryokan. Nice selection of craft beers. Bit on the expensive side tho, 900 yen for a craft pint.

Came across this restaurant and notice that is a hostel and cafe mix. When I went in, there was a lot of people so I felt that the food is probably good and I was right! The lunch menu has around 5 choices and I decided to take the smoked pork. I didn't regret a thing!

At first I thought the portion was small but I was wrong and it was filling! The smoked pork has a really nice texture and the sauces is sweet with a tingly taste. I would go back and try the others!
