Great location, close to restaurants, shops and temples. Neighborhood has a really lovely feel especially with all the tea houses nearby. The room was large and relatively quiet. We did experience a problem with the hot water one day and couldn't shower as a result, however it was solved by the owners that same day. Would recommend for those wanting to be close to the action in Gion!

Great place with more traditional style Japanese sleeping arrangements. Staff spoke english, was very helpful and courteous. Would happly come back here in the future.

The Guesthouse was very clean and all ammenaties available to use. The location was absolutely fantastic close to the city and very close to the train station. I enjoyed my stay and if I was in the Kyoto area I would probably stay there again.

affordable and have large room on second floor. There are microwave oven and fridge so midnight snacks is convenient.

Very affordable place! We were, however, in a room on the first floor, and could hear every step that anyone took in the room above us (including kids running around). We could also hear the parents yelling. So, just be aware that sounds from other rooms may be an issue. Luckily, the family upstairs left after our first night and sound want an issue after that. The toilet was in a room in the hallway while the shower was connected to our room. Not a problem, although a little unusual for us. There was a small fridge in our room that was useful.
