Sauna & Capsule Hotel Rumor Plaza in Kyoto

The staff were kind and lovely. Even though my mother is not good at speaking English, the staff slowly gave advice. The service was very impressive. If anyone is traveling alone, I recommend this place as an option.

A capsule hotel and sauna located along Shijo Street. This time, I only used the sauna. The sauna front desk is on the 6th floor, the lockers are large, and the inside of the building is very spacious and clean. A large-scale renovation was completed a few years ago, and in addition to the large sauna, there is also a sauna on the rooftop, and there is also plenty of outdoor bathing space. The jacuzzi on the top floor has a wonderful view of Kyoto city. A great sauna that I would definitely like to use again.

Honestly the best capsule hotel I've seen so far! The perfect location, very friendly staff, clean rooms, etc. The free sauna use is amazing, there are various kinds of sauna and baths that you can enjoy and even massages that aren't expensive.

the onsen, spa and sauna is like the best i experience in kyoto man. very comfortable and relaxing. the breakfast was very good with alot of different varieties everyday.

Great location, love the spa option. Lots of rules. If you have tattoos you can cover it with bandage's

Just a few minutes walk from Gion-Shijo station and not that far from the shopping streets.

Great service and location, however, was kinda disappointed with the capsule as I felt stuffy inside and ventilation weren't that great.

I do love the sauna though, there's the roof sauna and hot spring.

Perhaps the sauna could indicate more English posters to educate the tourists on proper sauna etiquette

Staying the Capsule for Men here for twice and I still like to come back again. The Capsule hotel was amazing, they provide very good buffet breakfast (Japanese & Western).

Onsen, hot & cold bath, sauna room was super nice which located at the top floor & rooftop (the onsen water will change to medicine or spices everyday). Besides, you can rest at the roof top after soaking at the Onsen that is open air and have a nice mountain view during the sunrise, public facilities are clean & great.

Location was so convenient that, just right at Gion. Across the river opposite site, there's bus stop to Arashiyama. Left & right of the hotel have many shop & outlet. 2 min walk to the bus stop which can take you to Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kiyomizu Dera Temple & many more place.

If you are taking a big luggage travel along with you, please make sure you store at the entrance counter, also store your shoe at the shoe locker as well because you will be provide an in house slipper, a thin size locker that is only able for you to keep your shirt & clothes, important things like wallet, phone, charger & one small bag.

Please bare in mind to keep all your belongings at the locker or bring it out before 10AM from the capsule you stay. Because the cleaner will change the bed sheet and cleaning all the Capsule at 10AM everyday. Otherwise, it will treat as garbage & to be throw away !!!!!

When the time you check-in, the front counter already remind you the HOUSE RULES that is to take away all your belongings before 10AM.
But, I still don't understand some of guest argue & making complaint to the hotel which DOES NOT making sense and NOT RATIONAL at all.

Very nice CAPSULE hotel (is not a regular hotel). Excellent SPA with two saunas and various types of baths. As is common in capsule hotels you must observe some protocols like removing your shoes at reception, change your clothes and leave it in a small locker, etc.

The hotel is also very well located, very near of Pontocho alley.

The best capsule in Japan (i think!). The place is like brand new. Spotless clean! The staff are so polite and easy to approach. The sauna place is clean too! Thank you for taking care of me for 3 days!

This facility is nice and modern, clean and well maintained. The included breakfast is also delightful. My only complaint would be that they keep the sleeping area too hot all night and wait to cool it down until morning.
