There is a phrase that we use in the UK - “cheap and cheerful” and “you get what you pay for”. Was the room perfect? No. But was it what I expected from a cheaper room? Yes. The hotel has no receptionist so you check in online and receive your room number/door key code via email. There is no elevator so be mindful of this, if you are planning on having large and heavy bags. The room was small and a little cold because of the single glazed windows. It was also a little dusty/aged from wear and tear. However, the bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. If you’re not planning to stay in the room a long time, I would recommend it. It was great for me because I was out early morning until evening and only used the room for showers and sleeping. It was a good cheap option for a short break in Osaka.

Traveling solo, this place was actually pretty good. I saw a lot of cockroaches outside the hotel at night, but didn't find any inside. The bathroom was okay, though not super clean. You'll need to bring your own shower gel and shampoo. Toothbrushes, tissues, and towels can be picked up on the first floor. It might be a bit tricky checking in if you don't speak English. I saw a Japanese person checking in before me and just copied what they did; otherwise, I thought I wouldn't be able to stay.

Good little boutique hotel. Great location. Downside is no lift and if required luggage storage need to go to their office building to do so.

It was okay, not the cleanest though: carpet under the fridge had an old stain, smears on walls, mold in the sink (visible when you sit on the toilet).
The location is a huge plus, there's a station and subway nearby, lots of combinis in the vicinity. The staff helped us with the reception of our luggage: we send it via Yamato delivery and upon our arrival baggage was in our room already.
There is no elevator in the hotel and the room was on 4th floor, so carrying bags to the ground floor was a challenge. Be mindful of that if you have a heavy luggage.

The location of the hotel is nice. The checkin is a bit complicated as you get the code in advance and enter the hotel and to get the room key some extra things to do but nobody behind a reception desk so you should be aware of that. They’ve an intercom and somebody who can give instructions. If you need to go very early to KiX airport, then check which entrance you can take. The south entrance is nearby but open from 7 am; otherwise you walk a bit further to the entrances of the central gate. Nearby small restaurants and in the mall in the Namba station more cafés & restaurants & great shopping options. The room itself was okay for one night!

If, like me, you plan to move around Osaka a lot and spend little to no time in bed it's a good option.
If you are looking for a hotel experience this is not for you.

One of the best stay in Japan for me, location cannot be more convenience considering the price. Everything is very easy staying here. Just loved it.
