Hotel Sunplaza is my favorite budget-friendly hotel in Osaka! For travelers on a tight budget who want to explore Osaka, this is an ideal choice and highly recommended! Located right next to JR Shin-Imamiya Station, with the subway entrance just steps away, the transportation is incredibly convenient. Nearby Family Mart and Lawson stores make it easy to buy food, drinks, and daily necessities.The hotel’s facilities are impressive: the lobby offers free coffee, tea, and drinking water, along with a microwave and paid washing machines, which are very thoughtful. The public bath features floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Osaka’s cityscape while you soak! However, people in the opposite building might see you, which could be thrilling for some, but shy guests can opt for private shower rooms on the corridor. The rooms are small, with just a bed, a mini-fridge, and a small TV, but they’re clean, comfortable, and offer more privacy than capsule hotels.If the hotel could add a currency exchange machine in the future, it would be even more convenient for international travelers—practically perfect! Overall, Hotel Sunplaza is affordable, well-located, and practical, making it an excellent choice for exploring Osaka!

I am traveler form Hong Kong l, stay ing for three nights.

If you going solo, this might be your go-to. Locational wise speaking, it located right exactly next to train station, and the nearest 24/7 shop is less than 5 minutes. If you are looking for a place to have a sleep and somewhere to store your baggage, you can put this shop to your list.

HOWEVER, if you have any troubles for the below matters, please SKIP it for your own sake. 1) Noises. As it is right next to train stations, you can image how loud would it be whenever any train goes by. 2) WC/Shower place. There is only ONE shower place for each specific floor, plus two major big baths for male/female only in topest and lowest floor resp. This would be nightmare as sometime you want to take a quick private shower after a long day walk, but not every time you can use it freely as it is occupied so quickly. Speaking of the major baths place , if you are no trouble with people or share showering together, you can still try yourself. 3) WiFi. The WiFi is terrible, I can’t watch a movie by the unstable WiFi (sleeping at 8th floor).

Overall, if you are just looking for somewhere cheap, travel-friendly during the period of EXPO 2025, you can surly considering this one.

the pillow is made from plastic, but weirdly so comfy! the hotel literally beside the train station can be little bit noisy. but overall the facilities were good, the staffs were so nice 👍🏻 good option for low budget or alone traveler :)

3rd time staying here. Awesome as always. Right next to JR and about 3 mins walk to the nearest metro station. Highly recommended.

It's right next to the train station so it's very accessible. You can take an onsen at the rooftop and drinks are unlimited at the lobby (coffee, tea, water). Highly recommended.

The best thing about this hotel is the location—it’s literally next to JR Shin-Imamiya Station. The hotel is nice and clean. The common area is equipped with a microwave, a coffee/tea machine, and a water dispenser. There’s also a laundry area available.

My room was on the 7th floor, which doesn’t have a shower room. Shower rooms are only available on certain floors, so sometimes you need to queue, especially in the morning. Towels and basic toiletries are not provided, but you can add on, if I’m not mistaken.

The room size was adequate for me—an Asian male, 67kg and 180cm tall—since I only used it for sleeping and spent most of my time outside. For the price, it’s definitely worth the money.

Here’s the view of the train station from my room. They provided earplugs for you to sleep comfortably.
