Very friendly and helpful reception. He drove us to the station. Also the lady in the restaurant. The food was excellent. Lot of fresh seafood. Sauna and public onsen were great. We also got timeslot for private onsen. The location is about 10 minutes walk from station but quite hilly road. It was a nice walk when we did not drag our luggages. View from our room was excellent

The hotel does not provide body towels, and you have to pay 500 yen for one. Shared toilet, and you have to wait to go in the cubicle. The ambient is a little creepy 😅

We stayed here to be close to the train station. I guess we didn't realize it was a double bed room with no private bath (it turned out to not be busy, so it wasn't a problem). But no bathroom amenities available, no towels and no clear place to take a shower. The beds were ridiculously hard (I've slept on grounds while camping that were softer than these beds). Staff was very pleasant to interact with and location was good. But we left a day early cause I couldn't sleep on the beds they were too painful.

It was a room-only stay. It would be perfect if they increased the number of shared toilet stalls! Also, I wish there was Wi-Fi in the rooms.

For a one-night stay package that included two meals, all-you-can-drink alcohol, and a private onsen, it was absolutely flawless. The service was very friendly, although their English was a bit limited. Definitely the best value for money in Hakone Yumoto!

The room was a decent size. The pajamas provided were very comfortable, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! The subway station is right across the street, just a stone's throw away. The area is very quiet, and a morning stroll around the Imperial Palace was lovely.

They told me my booking didn't come with a towel set or pajamas, but this wasn't mentioned anywhere.

The quality was comparable to a rundown county guesthouse from decades ago. There was no private bathroom in the room; guests had to use shared communal facilities! Room amenities were rudimentary, and the bedding was simple and coarse. Frankly, it was incredibly disappointing and far worse than I could have imagined. The attached hot spring, however, was decent, and the outdoor bath was quite comfortable.

We were asked to pay 3000 yen for three shower towels and a toothbrush, which we flat-out refused. We attempted to discuss this with the front desk, but they offered no solution. The facilities are very dated and have an unpleasant smell. The mattresses were in terrible shape. The hotel is situated at the top of a very, very steep hill, making it incredibly inconvenient if you have luggage. On the plus side, there's a Seven Eleven just before the hill, and they offered a complimentary ride to the bus station upon check-out. I wouldn't recommend this hotel; there are definitely better options available in Hakone.

All I can say is, it was a complete dump. For 800 RMB, you'd be better off in a small guesthouse in a Chinese urban village.
