A wonderful hotel!
The dinner was incredible: beautiful, delicious, and filling. We ate everything. Bring something to help your stomach digest. Wagyu, crab claws, and lots of tasty little appetizers.
The room was wonderful. Very clean, with a beautiful view from the window. They made our beds for us while we were out for dinner. We slept softly.
The onsen is wonderful. There's a shared room with outdoor baths, and there's an indoor room, but you can slide part of the window to get a garden view. After dinner, the rooms switch between men and women. There's also a private onsen, which you can book for half an hour. The entire bath is outdoors, overlooking a small garden. The water is hot and pleasant. Milky.
I wasn't feeling well that evening, and the hotel owner personally went to the pharmacy for me to get some medicine. A real treat! I highly recommend it.

Great location, close to the train and funicular stations. There's a very pleasant park nearby, with a teahouse and workshops.
I really liked the hotel itself – the atmosphere, the views from the windows, the living room, and the onsen – amazing. The kaiseki is luxurious, with lots of seafood.
The onsen is simply lovely. So cozy and quiet. You can spend half an hour in a private one.
Perhaps it's better for the hosts to make the welcome tea, because I asked if the tea was wrapped in paper (that's how we pack our tea), and they said yes, just pour water over it. It turned out we'd brewed matcha candy. It's fun, of course, but it would be great to avoid such incidents.

It's larger than a family hotel, but smaller than other hotels.
There were many Europeans and Americans, as well as locals.
There was a Chinese waitress who was very attentive and wonderful.
The food was also quite good. 👍
The downsides were the management, which was mediocre. The hotel is located on foot, and I couldn't walk to the nearby bus station, and the management didn't help.
Usually, hotels would send a car to pick me up in this situation, but this one was really bad at that. Despite repeated communication, the problem remained unresolved.

Great view from the hall and from the room, great room itself, as well as dinner and breakfast. Close to the station, easy to get to. I liked everything. The onsen is small, but quite cozy. I recommend it.

An excellent hotel for complete relaxation, the room was huge by Japanese standards in a traditional style, I immersed myself in Japanese culture 😊 And dinner and breakfast were simply amazing, very tasty and very plentiful 😄
In general, if you want to soak in a hot onsen and enjoy the mountains, this hotel is perfect for this!!

Amazing experience. The food was great, the staff was very nice, the onsen was beautiful. There was only one other family in the hotel, so the public onsen almost became private. We were very impressed with the sashimi and wagyu beef dinner. I took off one star for cleanliness, but maybe that was because of the overall "shabby" look of the place (it shows signs of time). Anyway, the atmosphere of the place makes up for it.

The hotel with the worst accommodation conditions on this trip is very old. It is a bit far from Gora Station to the hotel, and there is a super steep slope of more than 100 meters. It is very tiring to carry luggage! Later I saw that the hotel has a shuttle bus🙉🙉🙉
How old is the room? There are very few sockets, and there are only three or four on the sink. The sink is very small, and it is difficult to charge the devices for fear of getting them wet. The hotel is on a slope, close to the mountain tram tracks. The hotel is very loud and I kept feeling the ground shaking. The room kept buzzing with rumors, which was very annoying. There is no need to order breakfast at all. It looks good but tastes terrible. We even ate a hair and the clerk apologized, haha. The dinner is worth something, rich and filling.
The hot springs are also very average, with no scenery. I made a private appointment and there was no waiter to guide me. It was up to me to enter one by one. There’s no cold drinks or anything, nothing at all🙄
I originally made a reservation at another hotel, but I changed my reservation when I saw that this hotel had a Chinese-speaking boss. After all, communication is easy, but there was no Chinese-speaking boss at all. The shop assistants are all foreigners. They look like Nepalis. They speak little Japanese and English. Communication is extremely difficult! ! ! !
Super disappointing hotel, the hotel room is very noisy!

A great traditional B&B-style hotel with private hot springs for men and women, as well as mixed private hot springs (reservation required in advance). During the trip, I thought the hotel was relatively expensive, but in fact it was really not expensive. The owner is a Chinese uncle from Japan who speaks Chinese very well. He inherited the family business and the service is warm and thoughtful. Breakfast and dinner are all authentic Japanese food. The accommodation is in a traditional Japanese style, and the tatami mats were arranged by the hotel staff on their own initiative. It was very comfortable to sleep on. Will come next time! ! !

The service is very good and will pay attention to all aspects of our needs!
The boss can speak Chinese, so there is no need to worry about language barriers!
The meal was very delicious!
The hot spring is also very comfortable!
