Prepare to inhale second hand cigarette 🚬 smoke as you walk to and from your rooms, and some of that smoke probably enters the rooms... Because they allow smoking inside the building. When we told the front desk they didn't care that they were damaging their customer's health. It's a shame cuz the food and onsen are both great. If there was no cigarette smoke, I'd give them five stars.

The hotel service was excellent, and any problems were resolved promptly.

The room is decorated in a Japanese style and is very spacious. Each room has a private onsen bath.

Setting: The hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering fresh air and quiet nights. It's also near a small river and waterfall. It's also conveniently located near attractions like Hakone Shrine and Lake Ashi.
Service: The staff were attentive, the breakfast was plentiful, and lunch and dinner reservations were available.
Facilities: The hotel's overall decor is relatively new, and the rooms are significantly larger than similarly priced hotels in Tokyo. The hotel's indoor and outdoor hot springs are very clean, and soaking in the water while listening to the gentle cascade outside was a relaxing experience.

This superb hotel writes HOSPITALITY in capitals. Everything is focused at the guests wellbeing. And when a problem occurs it is solved with a smile 😀. Staff is super friendly, the onsen is great.

We had a Japanese style room, which was very spaceous. Our view was excellent, nice Onsen, good food and super friendly staff!!!
We lost our wallet in the hotel and they send it after us to our Next hotel the same Day! Thank you for the very pleasant stay!

Hidden gem. For a family of 5 in one room, with your own indoor onsen and shower and wc ( we got the Western- Japanese room on the 6th floor 3 futon and 2 single Simmons beds , with breakfast and dinner thrown in, we paid ¥88000 ( SGD 772) a night and this is probably the best value hotel in this area. Book direct on the hotel website or Rakuten as you can't find this on Booking.com. Hotel also has shuttle to hakone yumoto but we drove to have the flexibilty so we appreciate the free carpark. Hakone area is hard to find dinner places as everything closes by 5pm, so it is a relief that the hotel provides dinner. Mainly local guest but Staff are friendly and try their best with their English.
