Facilities are a bit old, but everything is well maintained. Not much frills but good for the price. Specially the hot springs
We had a great experience there. Our room it was huge and clean, had a balcony, dinner room, tatami bedroom and a complete bathroom. We took a bus to get there, the road was auper tight and without sidewalk, a bit scary
Even tons of snacks to take for free as much as you want! FREE drinks, FREE unlimited alcohol (wine, sparkling wine, plum wine, sake, spirits etc). Public onsen INCLUDED, available till midnight
There's a mini market around, like 5 min walk
I've read many negative reviews on this hotel, but I don't see why. There are tons of amenities which many hotels of this price lack (i paid around 28000 jpy per night)
The included dinner was nice - there was a small plate ready when we got to our table, and then there is a buffet. Water, Coffee and Tea is free, you have to pay a small amount for anything else than that

It was wonderful! The hotel also provides a transfer from and to the nearest train stations. The rooms are clean, cozy, we slept on tatami under soft blankets. With massage chairs and a very quiet atmosphere
This hotel is a paradise in the mountains of Hakone! Traditional style of the rooms - it feels like you are living in a Japanese family. We were prepared a traditional dinner, which was served in our room
It was very tasty and varied! The hotel has 3 onsen: 2 - private, 1 - public. We visited only the private ones (you need to book a time in advance at the reception upon check-in, the visit time is 30 minutes)
A true Japanese experience. The onsen was amazing, we were a family and loved it. We also had a great experience with breakfast and dinner, very Japanese! Totally recommend it
We stayed in this room after visiting the onsen and got great relaxation. And you are also given national clothes for rest and sleep. It is very beautiful and cute
Booked half board 3d2n stay, best service and best meal we ever had out of so many Japan trip we travelled. Will definitely come back again ;)

Two different private onsen areas (reserved with only your shoes) and an amazing outside onsen with its own concealed path. Truly a remarkable building and experience
Awesome place with great service. The open-air onsen is beautiful and worth visiting
There's also a ping-pong room downstairs with a play area for children—it was very comfortable! Dinner and breakfast were wonderful! We had a wonderful time and relaxed, thanks to the staff for their care!)
The room included dinner and breakfast - everything was of high quality and taste, though if you don't like the fried fish in the morning or pickled vegetables you might not like it
If you have the Romancecar pass, it's free. In conclusion, if I ever return to Hakone Yumoto, I will definitely stay here again. This hotel was so good, it made me completely forget about hotels in Tokyo
This is outstanding ryokan. Everything was great. Open-air onsen is nice and not overloaded with people. Dinner and breakfast very tasty and with variety of dishes. Thank you very much for hospitality.

The food is good, the location requires a walk or a taxi. Comfort Inn
The hotel is in a great location. You can take the free shuttle bus to the Hakone Yuryo next door. The front desk manager is Chinese. Both dinner and breakfast are very rich, 🉑so it is worth the money~
There is a free shuttle bus from Hakone Yumoto station to Hakone Yuyo hot spring resort which is right across the street from the hotel that we were able to use
If you have large luggage the shuttle bus doesn't work because it has no luggage storage. It was a short walk to the train to start our Hakone Loop journey
The hotel was conveniently located by a train station, and despite what other reviews have mentioned, we didn't struggle getting our luggage up and down the hill (but we're both about 30 and in decently good shape
Food was great. Room was spacious and clean.

Amazing family hospitality, great food - portions a good size and very delicately crafted with lots of different courses
Very clean, with a beautiful view from the window. They made our beds for us while we were out for dinner
I really liked the hotel itself – the atmosphere, the views from the windows, the living room, and the onsen – amazing. The kaiseki is luxurious, with lots of seafood. You can spend half an hour in a private one
An excellent hotel for complete relaxation, the room was huge by Japanese standards in a traditional style, I immersed myself in Japanese culture 😊 And dinner and breakfast were simply amazing, very tasty and very plentiful 😄 In general, if you want to soak in a hot onsen and enjoy the mountains, this hotel is perfect for this!!
Perhaps it's better for the hosts to make the welcome tea, because I asked if the tea was wrapped in paper (that's how we pack our tea), and they said yes, just pour water over it. It turned out we'd brewed matcha candy
Great view from the hall and from the room, great room itself, as well as dinner and breakfast. Close to the station, easy to get to. I liked everything. The onsen is small, but quite cozy. I recommend it.

Super excellent cuisine, Kawakami chef is young talented but one of best Japanese cuisine chefs in japan. He is like 2,3 star michellan chef, guaranteed!! And inexpensive!! Good room and location. Tranquil stay.
Lovely staff, extremely clean hotel, room was massive!!!! So many amenities in the room!!!!!!! Well recommended
This time we were driving, and the hotel is located on a slope, which didn't really affect us. There's a bit of a walk to find food nearby
After entering, we had to wait quite a bit before someone came to assist us, which was a bit inconvenient. The room was spacious, but the hot spring bath wasn't very big
Dinner was pretty good! However, to buy breakfast for the next day, we spent over half an hour walking up and down hills just to find a convenience store. I regretted not having bought breakfast in Hakone beforehand
For travelers without a car, I'd recommend buying food before checking in, as you can cook your own meals here

In addition, it is best to check in at 3-5pm in the afternoon, but you should be able to check in at 8 or 9pm, but dinner will be gone
The service was very good and the food was delicious It's a little far from the train station, about 10 minutes' walk It will be a little inconvenient if you bring an elderly person Tidy and worth recommending
Japanese style, just so-so, may not be suitable for Chinese people Hygiene: clean Environment: OK Service: The private soup is good, recommended. Breakfast and dinner were not satisfactory
Highly recommended, traditional Japanese style hotel with silk soup. The hotel offers two time slots for dinner at 6pm and 6:30pm every night, and two time slots for breakfast at 8:00am and 8:30am
If you see the standard of their meals, you will understand why they require exact meal times, because their meals are not business hotel buffets, but Kaiseki cuisine level
The room is very big, very quiet, has a separate hot spring bath, very clean, the dinner is amazing, I like it very much, the landlady is very gentle and kind

A beautiful, clean, comfortable room, delicious breakfast. The hotel provides free access to the main ancient onsen building, and we were lucky to be in the onsen without any people. We had a wonderful time and relaxed
Traditional Japanese ryokan with private hot spring feed bath option. Public indoor and outdoor baths. Sit on floor while eating multicourse meal in your room. Serve by lady in kimono. Sleep on floor.
Fantastic location, just next to the bus stop. Our room is spacious, in fact is the most spacious in the annex. The breakfast is simple yet delicious. The outdoor onsen is small but the ambience is great
I was in Japan for approximately 9 nights. This was by far the best, most beautiful room I was in. Bathroom facilities - not inside the room itself - were clean and no issue whatsoever with those
The onsen is tattoo friendly, but there is a BIG minus - the water in the onsen shower is chlorinated! It spoils the whole impression. The onsen for men is so-so, the women's, they say, is better
The onsen at the annex and the adjoining hotel are ridiculously beautiful, both are outdoors and SO relaxing! I will definitely be returning to stay here again! Note- These rooms do NOT have an in-room bathroom; there is a community bathroom on each floor, and a shower on the second floor

My only drawback was the huge number of stairs, but for those without knee problems, this isn't a problem. The hotel offers a shuttle, but only from the nearest train station and at very limited times
I wanted to book a shuttle and emailed them, but I didn't receive a response with the terms until a few days later, when I was already at the hotel. The food was wonderful—very tasty and plentiful
Very friendly staff, good food, nice onsen. Little bit worn but overall great value.
We had a room with a beautiful view from the window, and it was very clean. Nothing was broken or damaged. The furniture wasn't new, but that had an authentic charm
The gas stove, air conditioner, and humidifier worked perfectly, so the room was very warm despite the cold weather
Drinks are available for purchase right at the hotel. I also really liked the onsen. The girl who served our breakfasts and dinners was wonderful

Excellent service by the staff, excellent experience of food both breakfast and omakase!
It was one of the best sushi I ever had. Overall it was a great experience for us!!
A great ryokan! Dinner is long and interesting, alcohol is not included, mostly sushi, made right in front of you. A private onsen is bookable by the hour for your group, and there are only six rooms in the onsen
They went out of their way to arrange vegetarian breakfast and dinner for my wife on a short notice. Private onsen after a long day was great. Dinner on both nights had different menu
It was a really amazing stay! Service is amazing, food is amazing, environment is amazing and of course the onsen! Welcome everyone to come here!
I had such a wonderful stay! The room, location, amenities, and staff were lovely. I enjoyed the included meals and private onsen.

The food was delicious! The tamari soy sauce with the sashimi was so good that we ended up buying some. The food was well-seasoned and creative, and we would like to stay here again next time
The staff provided attentive service, and since this is an inn that primarily caters to dogs, we enjoyed our stay without any worries. There was a hot spring for dogs, and we gave them a good shampoo before taking a dip
My dog's skin seemed to be in good condition afterwards
The room and building were beautiful. The view was also spectacular. The cooking method, balance with the sauce, and temperature were all perfect. The amuse-bouche was the best
We stayed overnight starting yesterday. The hotel is in a great location and is a comfortable place for families with dogs to stay! The room bath is fed by a hot spring, so we were able to relax in it
There was also a hot spring for dogs! We were able to eat our meals with our dog! There was even a chair just for dogs, so he enjoyed it. We ordered a set course meal, and he happily ate it all

The boss was very considerate and the service was very good and enthusiastic. Although it is not as good as the experience of Arima Onsen last week, the price and service are also very good
Wonderful quiet ryokan with great onsen, rooms and meals. Excellent service...nothing too much trouble. Reasonably priced and good location near cable car station.
The service was good. There were only 10 baths, so it was understandable that they were small. The food was satisfying, with a wide variety of dishes.
Fortunately, my sister can communicate in Japanese so it is smooth. I confirmed with the boss that it doesn't matter if you have tattoos. And there was no one there when I went to take a bath twice
The location is very close to Sounzan Station
location along cable car from gora to sozcan station. both breakfasts and dinners excellent in traditional Japanese style. onsen keep you warm in chilly weather

And once we arrived in Hakone, we could take the opposite train to Goura Station, the station closest to our accommodation, which was incredibly convenient! We decided to spend the first day of our two-day, one-night stay entirely in the hotel's hot springs and spend the second day sightseeing
This is one of the best places I stayed! Thank you very much! The hotel is located a little bit far from the train station and I think this is the only downside (and I didn't suffer from it)
The hotel room doesn't have a separate shower, aside from a sink and toilet, so you'll need to bring a towel, a change of clothes, and shower supplies before entering the hot springs! If you're visiting, be sure to include meal service! As I mentioned earlier, the surrounding mountains mean there aren't any amenities
I highly recommend it, but if it's fully booked and you can't make it, you can always use the indoor family bath! Please be mindful of the opening times, as all hotel guests use it
The hotel will also provide a car to nearby Goura Station upon check-out, so just let them know! Afterwards, I took a cable car from Goura Station and traveled around Hakone
Be sure to take advantage of their free pick-up service! The accommodation offers an open-air bath and a private bath, both of which can be rented for one hour
