The service was good. There were only 10 baths, so it was understandable that they were small. The food was satisfying, with a wide variety of dishes.

It feels like a family style. Fortunately, my sister can communicate in Japanese so it is smooth. The service is very good. The two meals are also good. You can eat a lot. I confirmed with the boss that it doesn't matter if you have tattoos. And there was no one there when I went to take a bath twice. The boss was very considerate and the service was very good and enthusiastic. Although it is not as good as the experience of Arima Onsen last week, the price and service are also very good.

There is a sloped road from the parking lot to the hotel, which makes it inconvenient to push suitcases. However, the proprietress is polite and willing to help deliver the luggage to the parking lot. The location is very close to Sounzan Station.

The store manager is very nice, although communication is a bit difficult. When we went there, we had no idea where the hotel was located. After calling our aunt, she immediately drove to pick us up. Take the cable car at , get off at Kamigora Station, and get off at the right door in the direction in which the car is traveling. Be sure to remember to use the right door! Otherwise, my legs would really break if I dragged my luggage here. Hot springs are open from 6-9:30 in the morning and close at 24:00 in the evening. Apart from the disadvantage of being in a remote location and having to climb a very high mountain road, everything else is pretty good. It is very convenient to go to Sounzan on foot in ten minutes the next day. You can also leave your luggage to the hotel the next day, and dedicated station staff will deliver it to Hakone-Yumoto Station. Charges are based on box size.

Location: On the quiet mountainside, be sure to get off at the Gora Cable Car Station on the right! Otherwise, I would be completely confused. It’s quite strenuous to go up the mountain, the slope is a bit steep😂. It takes about 8-10 minutes to walk to Sounzan Cable Car Station. It is a hilly road and it is not a fast walk.
Small suggestion: If there is no direct bus back to the hotel from Motohakone Port, you need to transfer by car. You can take a taxi directly from the transfer station for JPY860, which takes 5-8 minutes. It is convenient and saves time!
Environment: It is what a hot spring hotel looks like in my mind. It brings back all my memories of cartoons and Japanese dramas. The room is quite spacious and the bed is quite big. There is no need for an extra bed when bringing a child aged 6-8 years old, but the hotel defaults to it. Charged as an adult😂
Hot spring: It is a real hot spring. The hotel provides bathrobes, but there are no children's models. The hot spring pool is small and has a slight sulfur smell. It is divided into male and female hot springs, inner and outer hot springs. It's very windy outside in winter, so I chose to go indoors😅, and there won't be many people. Basically, the venue is reserved for soaking, and there are only 10 groups of guests staying in the hotel.
Meals: The one-berth, two-food package is very cost-effective. You can choose the time for dining, 8:00/8:30 in the morning and 18:00/18:30 in the evening. In fact, there are fixed seats arranged according to the number of people, with the room number next to it. The food is rich and tastes good. This is my first time eating early in the morning. Everyone in the entire restaurant was quiet and elegant, and eating with a naughty child made me very stressed. After the meal, the staff bowed and thanked everyone, which was really polite 😂
Service: The hotel proprietress and boss were very polite. They arrived early to store our luggage. After checking out the next day, they took us to Gora Station to take the bus. My English is not very good, but it does not hinder communication. On the day of check-in, there were only locals and European and American tourists.
Hakone is my favorite place during this trip and I look forward to coming back next time❤️

It is a small scale hotel. Quiet and relax at the onsen. Owner is able to provide top notch service to all the guests. The dinner and breakfast are good. The rating is underrated.

Cozy traditional hotel in Gora, a short walk from Sōuznan Station and a quick drive to Hakone Open Art Museum. The Japanese dinner & breakfast meals were AMAZING. The onsite onsen (indoor & outdoor, female & male separated) was super cute with natural hot spring water and nice toiletries. My hair and skin looked & felt WONDERFUL the next day! The nice lady reception offered to drive us to the museum. High recommend and hope to come back again soon.

Their staff are always helpful and address to your needs. They help making calls ( in Japanese) on your behalf. The hotel is small with only 10 rooms and you never felt crowed. There is a rest area, like a sitting room where you can chat with your friends. Onsen water is white with lots of minerals. Room is spacious and the food is fresh, esp raw fish.
