Hotel is abit dated and old by now compared to when I stayed many years ago. Still it’s a relatively clean, nice and comfy hotel, with nice Fuji view in both onsen and surrounding area. Overall it’s a lovely stay and we are happy to be back again.

The photo and the actual room is totally different. To spent Aud$411 for one night , I don’t think it worth it. The view from our room were just the roof top of other buildings. Nothing special at all, old buildings.
When walk down the corridor , it was dark and dime. It is an old hotel. The room was average , bath room was very small and the receptionists were not very welcoming.
The first receptionist was quite bitter, he gave wrong information how to get around , we literally waited for an hour and we were told by the bus driver mentioned this was not working. On the second day , same receptionist said the same thing , he was not quite happy he said “I told you that day…. “ I addressed to him it was not working at all. They are not very informative at all.
The second receptionist was very helpful , unfortunately he left his work before resolve the problem. He gave the correct advise.
The third receptionist was a lady, she was quite helpful and show us the right way. Thank you for that . It took us about 2 hours to navigate how to travel to another place.
We have booked a taxi, no taxi around that area. Just so hard get around. Imagine you have all the luggages to pull around.
We didn’t have a chance to have dinner because no restaurant around that area.
Comfortable mattress, quiet place and breakfast was average.
I think we could find a better place to stay. I couldn’t be bothered to take more pictures. Not recommended.

Hotel location is good connection to obako ropeway station. 3 min walk from the back of hotel. Good dinner and breakfast wt a lot selections.

Worth the room upgrading for a much bigger ryokan room with attached onsen. Fabulous! Food is great too!

Hotel is spaces and nice. Services and facilities was good. Foods just above average, not that fantastic and location was abit inconvenient and too far. Otherwise overall was ok.

Amazing hotel! The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The onsen is large and has beautiful views of Mount Fuji from the women's section, but unfortunately, I couldn't see it from the men's. The food was spectacular; I was surprised by the quality, especially for a buffet. The staff, both at reception and in the restaurant, were very friendly and attentive. The only downside would be the location, as it's a bit out of the way, but otherwise, it's excellent.

The ryokan style room was clean and cozy, but a bit small for a family of 5. Buffet-style dinner and breakfast were decent, with selection of both Japanese and Western options.
Staff were very polite and helpful, front desk staff speaks good English too.
Good location for self drive travellers, near to attractions like Owakudani and Open Air Museum.
The public bath (both indoor and outdoor) were great. Outdoor female onsen had the Mt Fuji view. Clear instructions to use the public bath.
We had a really enjoyable stay here.
Staff were very polite and helpful, front desk staff speaks good English too.
Good location for self drive travellers, near to attractions like Owakudani and Open Air Museum.

Great place to stay in tranquil beautiful surroundings and if you're lucky a view of Mt Fuji.
Was easy to get to (bus J from Odawara station (expected 50 minutes but took over an hour due to traffic jams near ropeway late morning time).. Short easy 5 minute walk from bus stop to hotel (ignore other reviews). We had a Japanese style room for two. Plenty of space and great view of Fuji from the room. The bathrooms are clean and perfectly fine but a bit dated. However not a problem. The onsen experience felt very traditional and really enjoyed it. I'm vegetarian and there were quite a few options in the buffet (breakfast and dinner) which was appreciated . When we left we used the great hotel shuttle to drop us at Minami Onsenso where we picked up the T bus to take us back to Odawara train station (about 50 minutes around 10am). The staff at hotel were super helpful and overall it was a great, relaxing stay.

It seems summer is the off-season for this hotel, as it wasn't crowded at all, and the hot springs were pleasantly quiet. It made for a truly relaxing and peaceful getaway. Highly recommended! The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the cable car station, making access to Owakudani incredibly convenient. From our room, we could even see Mount Fuji in the morning 🗻.

Everything was lovely. The weather was lousy so we stayed mostly at the hotel onsen, and was incredibly happy with the quality of the onsens. Dinner was a buffet with some interesting options. Breakfast was similar to other hotels, but more variety.
Loved the 300m walking trail between the hotel and the ropeway station. It was so quick and easy to take the ropeway up and down.
It rained while we stayed so no Fuji views but I imagine they’d be lovely from the garden on a good day.
Bathrooms are small but functional. We used the onsen so much we never needed the shower in our room.
A cute gift shop and cafe on the ground floor. Self-service coffee machine in the lobby.
Only reason we don’t give 5/5 rating is there was only 1 pillow each. We possibly could have asked for another, but only stayed 1 night and it was late before we realised. Beds were firm, but I liked it. The rooms are huge by what we’ve encountered in other Japanese hotels.
