Hotel Musse Ginza Meitetsu in Tokyo

The reception staff were very polite and professional, which I truly appreciated. The location is also excellent — there is a 7-Eleven right below the hotel and a FamilyMart next door. It’s only about a 7–8 minute walk to Ichiran Ramen.

The room was clean, and the view was great as well. Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit.

The hotel is located in Higashi-Ginza. After exiting the subway, it's about a 5-10 minute walk. Along the way, you'll pass well-known hotels like Mitsui Garden and Marriott properties. This particular hotel is on a smaller side street, but it's still quite easy to find. Our twin beds were pushed together, which was perfect for a family with children. I was surprised and impressed by the Japanese design of the bathroom, where the shower, toilet, and vanity were all separated – very practical indeed. The room size was adequate. Perhaps because we arrived late, we were given a room on the 3rd floor and told there were no higher floors available. The hotel only has two elevators, and the lobby is on the 2nd floor, which can be awkward during peak times as the elevator from the 3rd floor must stop on the 2nd floor first. We sometimes had to wait a long time for an elevator, and you can't take the stairs directly from the 3rd floor to the 1st, which was a bit time-consuming. We didn't book breakfast at the hotel, as there's a 7-Eleven right downstairs and a FamilyMart about 20 meters away. We ended up getting most of our breakfast from these two convenience stores for our 3-day stay. The hotel isn't far from Ginza, which is very vibrant at night. When we returned late, we'd usually walk back from Ginza Station, taking our time and browsing the shops. Common drugstores are plentiful near the hotel, many with Chinese-speaking staff. Major brand stores in Ginza are also conveniently clustered together, so you can easily find your preferred luxury items. With some discounts, the exchange rate worked out to about 4.3 (RMB to JPY, assuming context). However, popular attractions like Senso-ji Temple and Tokyo Skytree are a bit further away. In summary, if you're coming to Tokyo primarily for shopping, this hotel is a good option. It offers great value for money in the Ginza area.

Great budget hotel if anyone is looking to stay in Ginza! Very close to the main shopping street. Hotel staff were very nice & friendly!

Excellent Ginza experience in terms of cleanliness and service . The staff are extremely pleasant and accommodating of needs. There are much closer hotels to the Ginza train station but the room size and the quiet night’s sleep is a precious commodity in vacationing and that’s what the Musse provides .

The duvet in the room was a bit thin, so it felt cold in winter unless the air conditioning was turned up high, which then made the room very dry. I tried to ask the front desk for an extra blanket, but they didn't have any. The room did come with a humidifier and was otherwise well-equipped. The location is good, right in the city center, though it's about a 5-minute walk to any subway line.

The breakfast was very Japanese-style with lots of options, but the taste was just average. We booked two nights with breakfast included but only went once. It felt more like a gimmick than genuinely good food, so I wouldn't particularly recommend it.

Also, I have to mention that many hotels in Japan now employ Indian staff for cleaning. When we checked in, three Indian employees were chatting in the hallway, which resulted in a strong curry smell throughout the corridor. They also didn't greet us, which is quite unusual for Japanese hotels. The same happened while waiting for the elevator; they were loudly chatting in the hallway as if no one else was there. This really needs improvement.

The hotel was very clean and conveniently located. The Japanese breakfast was substantial and beautifully presented, making for a ceremonial experience. The only downside was how crowded breakfast was; I had to be very careful just to get a cup of hot water.

The room layout was very well designed, and it's just a 5-minute walk to Ginza subway station. The only downside was the service. I sent some clothes for dry cleaning and when they came back, there was a note in Japanese on them. I asked a staff member about it, and they told me it was fine. However, I used a translation app on the spot and found out the note said the stains couldn't be removed. The staff member was clearly lying and trying to gloss over the issue. I checked immediately and saw the oil stains hadn't been removed, but they insisted they couldn't do anything about it and still wanted to charge me. It's really unprofessional to not clean the clothes, try to hide it, and then still demand payment.

I think this is the best hotel I’ve had in Ginza! Room is quite spacious, very cute, has a nice sofa and bath tub that you can use after a very tiring day. I also love the free bath salts that you can get in the lobby, but I hate the free toothbrush it’s very hard hope they will change the brand lol
