Staff are super friendly, hotel design is good, with nice amenities too.

Great location, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The room layout is well-designed; at 27 square meters, there's enough space to fully open three large suitcases. The hotel also provides Sekkisei skincare products daily. I'd definitely recommend staying here again if you're in Ueno, Tokyo.

The room is clean and comfortable with a modern design. Amenities kits are available for guests to take themselves, but towels are not replaced.

I read positive reviews about this hotel and was looking forward to experiencing for myself what the hotel has to offer in terms of facility, comfort and service. After staying at the hotel for six nights, I can say that the service felt genuine and warm and I am happy with the size of the room that I booked. I looked forward to coming back to the coziness of the hotel and room after a day out and about. Guests amenities were of high quality. Especially loved the power shower in a good size standing shower stall. The room is well-appointed and well-designed for maximum roominess. The bed is big and comfortable though the pillows can be better (felt that the pillows were rather flat). There is no work desk in the room but there are two chairs and a small round tea table. A kettle and two tea green/roasted bags are provided in the room, but there is no coffee machine or coffee powder provided. Not a big issue but would have been nice if at the price point for a stay, the hotel provided vouchers for coffee from its restaurant in the hotel. In terms of location, the hotel is very conveniently located near the Ueno Station, about 5-7 minutes walk along pavements and roads with low traffic. Even with luggage, my family and I could without too much difficulty, walk to the hotel. It is convenient for travelling around Tokyo and to the airport to have a train station with many lines going through it located so near the hotel. There are convenience stores such as Lawsons, 7-Eleven and even a small AEON store located nearby. The hotel is located at the corner of a quiet street with small restaurants around the hotel and Ameyoko Market just across the main road 5-7 walk minutes away. The area where the hotel is located feels safe and clean. I would choose to stay at this hotel again if I go to Tokyo again. Please keep up the good service and maintenance of the hotel.

A hotel I'd love to stay at again! The location might not look like much from the outside, but it's actually incredibly convenient for Ueno Station. The hotel entrance is beautifully designed with borrowed scenery, creating a really stylish vibe. The ground floor serves as a breakfast restaurant in the morning and a fantastic, publicly accessible restaurant in the evening – the food is absolutely delicious! The design is very well thought out, and I really enjoyed how comfortable the room was.

Very convenient location, around 8mins walk from keisei skyliner direct from Narita airport and a 5mins walk to the other JR/metro lines. Very close to Ameyoko market which was bustling in the day and full of restaurants at night. Amenities were provided at the lobby and there was a welcome drink as well.
Hotel room was also bigger than usual in tokyo. Staff were really friendly and polite.
Definitely will return to Nohga again on my next trip!

The location is excellent, very close to Ueno Station, which offers great transportation links. The surrounding area is also very convenient, with many shops and the Ameyokocho area, which has three streets filled with yakiniku and seafood restaurants where lots of young Japanese people hang out. There's also Peking duck and xiao long bao. The plum shiso sushi at the small sushi shop next to the xiao long bao place was delicious. There are two 24-hour convenience stores near the hotel.

The room size is decent for Tokyo, clean and hygienic, with a separate wet and dry area, a smart toilet, and a rainfall showerhead. After looking at so many hotels, I finally found one with a rainfall shower! It was very quiet; we stayed right next to the elevator but didn't hear any elevator noise or people talking, so the soundproofing is good. There's also a refrigerator. The pillows weren't as comfortable as I'd hoped.

The service was very good, though when it's busy, the breakfast service efficiency needs improvement. There were seats available, but because they couldn't prepare the food fast enough, we had to wait quite a while in front of the restaurant. Breakfast Set B tasted good.

On a whim, I decided to celebrate the New Year in a different place and chose this hotel. From the front desk to the restaurant, everyone greeted me with a smile. On New Year's Eve, the hotel also organized many activities: live performances by a band and singer, eye-painting and wish-making for children and families, and a free sake and drinks gathering, which was absolutely fantastic. Plus: the hotel is surrounded by large supermarkets and plenty of restaurants, making it very convenient.

This is my 2nd Tokyo trip. Good environment and best location, had a chill time at here. Thanks for the honeymoon champagne too.

I had an excellent three-night stay at this hotel in Ueno, Tokyo, and would gladly return for a longer visit.

The location is a major strength. It’s a five-minute walk to Ueno Station, offering seamless access to JR lines, multiple subway routes, and the Skyliner—making one-line travel to most major Tokyo hubs effortless. The surrounding area is equally convenient, with plenty of late-night food and drink options just minutes away.

The hotel itself is thoughtfully designed. The interior feels modern and intentional, with attention to detail that genuinely improves comfort. The room was clean, well laid out, and practical. The bed was comfortable, power outlets and lighting controls were placed exactly where you’d expect them, and nothing felt poorly considered.

Amenities are another highlight. The hotel offers excellent in-room amenities, a very good restaurant on the ground floor, and useful shared facilities including laundry machines, a microwave, and a gym on the second floor—all easy to access and well maintained.

Overall, this hotel delivers on both convenience and comfort. It’s a smart choice for travelers who value efficient transport access, good design, and functional amenities. I only wish my stay had been longer.
