APA Hotel Akasaka Mitsuke in Tokyo

The room was very cozy, and the bed was larger than usual for a Japanese room, which I appreciated. It had a tea warmer, which was a godsend, a bidet, and a decent amount of channels, one of which showed Blade Runner in Japanese, the best way to watch the film.

My only complaint was that the bed only had a comforter and not a sheet, but the staff brought me one once I asked for it, so no complaints there. It's also within walking distance of a train station(Akasaka Mitsuke) and several convenience stores that arguably have better food than most restaurants in the US.

You book this place for convenience as the stations are close. For an APA , these are the smallest rooms ive ever been in. The staff are wonderful abd breakfast is also good

Just to get this out of the way, the hotel rooms are small if you're in a couple (a bit smaller than I expected). If you're solo, this space would be great.

The staff here is incredible and the location is amazing. Very close walk to Akasaka-Mitsuke station which can get you anywhere you need to go.

This area is less crowded than other places in Tokyo and the area near the hotel is full of great places to eat and drink, some of the best we had on our trip. It was nice leaving the craziness of Shinjuku and return to Asakasa.

Pros - great area, amazing staff, proximity to metro.
Cons - small rooms (you get what you pay for)

It's close to the subway station and the room is pretty compact. Very eco friendly. Need to turn on the fridge before using, because the power is turned off when not in use. It's better to choose the non smoking room because the entire floor is non smoking and smells fresh. The vending machines however are located on a few smoking floors and as soon as you get off the elevator, you get a whiff of stuffy smoky air. Better to buy your drinks before getting to the hotel if you are a non smoker.
