This is an amazing Ryokan for so many reasons.
First, the location is well connected to asakusa in particular, and Tokyo in general, due to its proximity to train stations. However, it benefits from being quaint and quiet in the evenings, which I love.
Second, the rooms are lovely, reflective of a traditional ryokan style, but at a price point that is generous.
But third, and most importantly, the service is incredible. It is reflective of the hospitality that Japan is known for. I will give an example: on my second night in Tokyo, I spilled a drink on my shirt and cardigan. When I got back to the ryokan, I quickly tried to wash it off in the sink. I wrung out my shirt and cardigan, but they were too wet to wear the next day, so I left them hanging in my towel rack while I went out for the day. When I returned, they were properly dried and folded with intention back on the towel rack. It was done with a level of care and discretion that really touched me. This ryokan advertises that it has been run by several generations of the same family and you can tell that they have a great passion for what they do. I will always recommend this ryokan to anyone visiting Tokyo. I am so pleased with my stay.

Unfortunately, this was by far the worst accommodation we've stayed in during our two months in Japan. It was filthy. The bedsheets had holes and smelled awful, as did the towels. It was very noisy and poorly soundproofed. And the staff was incredibly unfriendly. Even though we booked several nights, we had to flee after the first night! Naturally, the accommodation offered no compensation and kept all our money. Absolutely not recommended. Luckily, there are so many other accommodations nearby.

We really liked this accommodation. It’s a more quiet neighbourhood, which is nice after you’ve spent a day on the busy streets of Tokyo. The rooms, bathrooms and toilets were very clean. I liked that they had self service coffee/tea and snacks. The receptionists were very helpful and kind. Would definitely come back!

Traditional Japanese ryokan vibes 🇯🇵✨
Tatami room with futon, clean and cozy.
Good location near Asakusa with easy train access.

The receptionists were very friendly. Even though their English isn’t very fluent, they really try their best to help and make everything easy to understand.

The room was surprisingly spacious for 3 people…honestly, it could fit 4–5 people comfortably.

Simple, peaceful, and totally worth it if you want an authentic Japan experience without spending too much 💯

It’s in a great location and we personally loved the chill neighbourhood. It’s really well connected and the staff is very kind. The rooms are clean, cozy and ours had a private bathroom. There is a common bathroom with bath.

For summer vacation in Japan, this hotel is very affordable. It's been around for a while, but the hygiene is excellent. The double room we booked in a Japanese-style room wasn't large, but it was perfectly comfortable. The beds were made up with thick mattresses, making it very comfortable to sleep on. They cleaned the trash cans and changed the towels daily. The room didn't have a private bathroom, but it had a sink, which was very convenient. Each floor has a refrigerator and toilet, and we rarely encountered other guests, making it very convenient. The common area on the first floor offers snacks, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, and a microwave. The common area is open until 11 PM. There are two public bathrooms: one on the second floor is unisex and has a large, spacious bathtub for a relaxing soak. The one on the first floor is for women only and is smaller, about the size of a regular bathroom. The bathrooms also provide smaller disposable towels and toothbrushes. The bathrooms are open from 5 PM to 11 AM the next day. The hours are long, and we didn't encounter other guests; it was a private bathroom. The closest station to the hotel is Iriya Station. To return, exit from Exit 2 and cross the street. To go out, exit from Exit 1. You can also take the subway directly to the Asakusa Line to the airport. The station is small, so you won't get lost, although I couldn't find the elevator. It's about a 10-minute walk to the hotel. There's a large supermarket near the subway exit with very affordable items. There are several convenience stores along the way, including Matsuya and Yoshinoya. Don't miss the drugstore in the direction of the hotel from the subway exit; it's huge and has many snacks to buy as souvenirs at super good prices. You'll pass a conveyor belt sushi restaurant; it's frequented by locals, very cheap, and has a Chinese menu. One small suggestion: the screens in the rooms and bathroom have holes, so I suggest repairing them. I got bitten by mosquitoes in the bathroom. Otherwise, everything was great—a very homey, cozy, and convenient place. I almost didn't want to leave after staying a few days.

The hotel is a Japanese style room as I want to experience the Japanese culture, its deferent rather hard if you are not use this costume, the room is quite no bathroom but there is a sink, the bath room is separated from the shower that has a hot bathtub very japanese style. Had elevator and the common area is in the reception area they provide snack, coffee, kettle microwave and drinking water despenser. I like the way they manage. Just 5 minutes walk to the metro and 12 minutes to the JY train to ueno and tokyo station. Alot of food in the area, 7eleven is nearby and they provide fresh food. The staff is strick according to their rule on the check in time, although they notice I was tired and waiting patiently they let me check in hour early although its already 2 Pm their time. If your having issue on your back and knee probably reconsider other option.

There is no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs by yourself!

It's very comfortable and clean to live in, and the attitude of the front desk staff is also very good! We stayed for five days and four nights and had clean bathrobes and towels available every day, which was really appreciated!

I was lucky enough to book the largest room. I think it is no problem for six or seven people to stay in it. It is 65 square meters. I am so lucky to stay in such a hotel when traveling in Japan. I like it very much. The room is very clean and cleaned in a timely manner every day. I experienced traditional Japanese accommodation. There are independent sanitary napkins, independent washbasins (double basins), and independent bathrooms. It is so comfortable. The only drawback is that there are no curtains, so you need to bring an eye mask.
