Apa Hotel Ginza Kyobashi Tokyo Eki Yaesu Minamiguchi in Tokyo

Cigarette smell everywhere. They offered 6 different rooms and the smell was very strong. Rooms with dirty walls and air conditioning system very moldy. Poor maintenance. I chose APA Pride instead and it was great and has a hot tub/Spa free to use. Book directly with them, Booking.com, Klook or Agoda.

While the location was good, I had several issues with this hotel. I found the staff unhelpful when I needed help in the dining room. Their knowledge of English was hardly enough to communicate with me. As vegetarians who don’t eat fish or meat, we had little to no options at breakfast. The bread was cold but I ate that to fill myself up for the day. The coffee and tea and hot water were not hot. I know this is Tokyo so I’m not going to complain about the diminutive room. The bathroom was equally tiny but extremely functional as is to be expected in Japan. We were given only 2 bottles of water for the entire stay of 4 days; basic amenities like water absolutely need to be offered daily, just like towels.

I’ve visited 18 countries round the world and stayed in some really average hotel rooms, but had to come here for the worst service I have ever experienced, the reception staff were unhelpful and rude. Unprofessional, cold, offhand and dismissive. Personally I will never stay here again as long as I live.
