Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro, Tokyo1 / 28
9.0
Tokyo, 1-6-1 Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel's location is fantastic – just a two-minute walk to Ikebukuro Station. The surrounding shopping area is incredibly convenient. Plus, there are direct shuttle buses to both the airport and Gotemba, which is super handy. Other aspects were pretty average, though; the cleanliness was just so-so.
I like this hotel, my first time stay here. Overall is great. Service also very good, helpful staff. Thanks !
We had a very stressful situation during our stay when our 3-year-old child suddenly became very sick late at night. The hotel manager went above and beyond to help us. He spent more than an hour calling different hospitals to find one that could see our child, and he patiently explained our situation to them in Japanese. Thanks to his effort, we were finally able to bring our child to a hospital and...
Good location and great service. Airport linmousine bus stops right in front the hotel.
You know how people say the last thing you experience carries more weight than the whole thing. Well, this is the second time staying at this hotel. And both times I booked the business suite. 1) This time they gave me a smaller room on the same floor. So I paid for the same amount of money but got less. 2) there was renovation going on after 10 am. So I couldn’t sleep in. 3) I didn’t know their checkout...
Located in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, this hotel is in a bustling commercial hub with excellent transportation links. It's incredibly convenient to get to various parts of Tokyo via rail, and the train station is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The Seibu Ikebukuro Line and Tobu Tojo Line are practically on your doorstep. Shopping, leisure, entertainment, and dining are all super convenient.
The hotel was very clean, room service was very convenient on my first night just arriving room for 2 was large and comfortable room was cleaned everyday staff was very friendly really enjoyed my stay would stay there again

Hotel JAL City Haneda Tokyo West Wing, Tokyo1 / 30
9.0
Tokyo, 4-16 Hanedaasahicho, Ota, 144-0042 Tokio, Yaponiya (16 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The front desk had an English-speaking staff member, so check-in was smooth. The room size was perfect for one person, and there's a shuttle bus to Haneda Airport in the morning, which takes about 7-10 minutes to reach the terminal.
Facilities: Good. If the price difference between a standard and a deluxe room isn't too big, it's worth upgrading as it's much more spacious. Cleanliness: The bathroom is quite large for a Japanese express hotel, and it's clean. Environment: Besides the hotel's shuttle bus, you can also walk to the Keikyu Line. The shuttle bus is punctual. Service: I didn't like the self check-in.
The location is fine. We had a twin room, and the beds were large with no gap in the middle. However, the price was a bit high.
Facilities: Excellent, with a direct shuttle to the airport, and pick-up/drop-off service available. Hygiene: As expected from Japanese hotels, spotlessly clean. Environment: The hotel is very well-maintained. Service: Exceptional, with free drinks and breakfast pastries on the first floor.
I specifically booked this hotel to catch an 8:30 AM flight. It's very close to Haneda Airport, and there's a shuttle bus every half hour. The staff were very helpful with luggage, and their service was excellent. It only takes 10 minutes to reach Terminal 3 from the hotel, which is super convenient. Plus, there are two 24-hour restaurants right across the street, so finding food is really easy.
Very small bed. But I stayed only for 1 night. There was a strand of hair on the bed. The toilet is huge. There was free shaver , toothbrush at the lobby. Good and short stay. I left early the next morning.

The location is very convenient from the station. There are many restaurants, supermarkets, etc. around the station, which is convenient. The room was cleaned daily, which made for a comfortable stay. It was a bit of a hassle to leave the key at the front desk every time I went out, but it wasn't a problem. The only amenities for women were combs, which were available at the front desk on the first...
The staff were all very kind and helpful. I'd like to use this service again when I visit Tokyo.
The facilities are excellent; they have everything you could possibly need. The Japanese staff are also very polite, and the place is spotless. I highly recommend staying here.
Thank you so much for your kind explanation, even though I arrived after 3 AM. My room was a smoking room, so the wallpaper was yellowed, which made me a little scared, but I had a comfortable stay. 🍀︎✨ Other than the wallpaper, everything else was great. I'd love to stay here again.
The service is very good. The front desk staff are very polite and patient. There are staff who speak Mandarin. It is very close to the subway Ruijiang Station. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It is very clean and tidy. They will help you clean the room every day.
There is a tram station right outside the door, and the surrounding shopping district is complete. However, the facilities are old, the toilet seat has no heating function, the faucet needs to be manually adjusted for hot and cold water, and the sound insulation is not good.

A great stay to be in. It offer a high quality service in a not so urban area but it is very near to KAMATA Station which will not be any issue to go to main cities of Tokyo. It has everything you need: bath tub, bath, free WiFi, yukata, and many more. Instructions or guidance also provided in English which you would not need to worry about translations. The room I had is for one person stay but it...
Very small bathroom and shower. Set up is for kids. Breakfast is very limited and not meant for International tourists. Checkout is at 10:00 am!!!! Usually checkouts are at 11 or 12 Front desk is very friendly and caring. So 5 stars for the cleaning team and front desk. 1 start for the management.
I am staying here regularly. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Rooms are good and clean with everything you need. Location of the hotel is perfect to reach everything by train in each direction including airport. Many restaurants and shops are close.
I was hesitant to give 5 stars but taking into account the location and what kind of hotel this is , it does the job perfectly despite some major flaws. If you chose this hotel you are probably looking at the proximity of the airport, you are a few minutes away from Keikyu Kamata station which is a couple of stations away from Haneda, from that aspect this hotel location is perfect. There is another...
Very clean, like new. The room was spacious 17sq meters with a lot of space in the bathroom/shower-tub. Location is a short walking distance to railway, shops and restaurants, yet the hotel is away from the noises. I would recommend this hotel if visiting Kamata Japan.
Room is a bit small but it's Tokyo, so... Bed was 7/10, toilet & bathroom was 9/10, other facilities 9/10. Staffs were very friendly and helps me to receive a package and assist with yamato to pick up my luggage from lobby. Location is far from city center but near Haneda airport (taxi from airport is only 3300 yen, very affordable in Tokyo haha). 3 mins walk to Keikyu Kamata station, 10 mins walk...

Returned to Tokyo and chose this hotel again. I was pleasantly surprised that they stored our luggage, and when we checked in later, they had already moved it directly to our room. By the way, most of the front desk staff are Indian and speak excellent English, so communication was easy. The breakfast included curry rice, which I thought was even better than what you'd get from takeout. Aside from...
The facilities are complete, and the staff are very friendly.
For this price, it's incredibly clean. I really loved the public bath and went there every day. The location is super convenient, just a 3-minute walk from the subway station, with a supermarket and lots of food options downstairs. They also provide breakfast, which is simple, with rice and some small dishes, bread, and coffee, all served on the 14th floor with a pretty nice view. The only thing to...
Facilities was awesome, i like it enough cuz its near with Kinsicho Station, easier to go to everywhere from this hotel, juz 100m from the station, can see the tokyo skytree from here as well
I stayed for two nights while on a business trip near Kinshicho. It's incredibly convenient as it's very close to Kinshicho Station. Although there's only a male public bath, having one available, along with complimentary breakfast, made it a more comfortable and affordable stay compared to other business hotels. The room and the en-suite toilet/bath were a bit small, but for business use, it wasn...

Good location but the room is too crowded
Located very close to the metro station and airport limousine pickup if you’re flying out of Haneda Airport.
I stayed here for 4 nights and honestly had a really good experience. The location is great — about a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station’s west exit. It is in a slightly dodgy love-hotel area, but once you’re inside, it feels totally fine. The staff were super nice and friendly, and check-in was super easy. You just scan your passport using a machine, so no stress at all even if you don’t speak...
A lot of food , location ok , comes with free breakfast daily, bread, yakult, yogurt and blended coffee machine. The hot chocolate is the best
The location is good but The hotel room is old and dated , the reception barely speak english and don't expect helpful service. Orginal booking was smoking room but the room was too old and i pay in hotel to change to smoking room. Would suggested to look for other chain hotel nearby like Toyoko Inn.
Transportation so best, nice and kindness reception. Clean room. Good price

Once again such a great stay at this hotel. Perfect, really spacious room and amenities. Super clean. Great location. It was a pleasure to return to the hotel after a day outside. A home away from home feeling.
The hotel environment is very good. The rooms are large. Each room has an ice machine and welcome drinks. It is also close to the subway station. There are washing and drying facilities and a microwave.
Every time I visit Tokyo, I stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious enough, and the location is very convenient. It's excellent!
Convenient transportation, large room, complete facilities, but no restaurant, breakfast is takeaway, go downstairs every day to get a paper bag and eat in the room. There is a desk, the dust is not cleaned.
As soon as you get out of the hotel, you can walk to Awajicho Station, Upper Marunouchi Line convenient to Tokyo Station, or go right to Ocha no Mizu Station, JC express line to Tokyo Station, transportation is quite convenient There is a Family Mart within a few steps of the hotel, 24 hours. The male staff member was very kind. Thank you!
There is 24-hour front desk service, basic amenities, nearby residential areas, although not the most central to Tokyo, but subway stations are in walking distance, drive to stay quite good, nearby parking
It's about a 5-minute walk from Ojima and Higashi-Ojima stations on the Toei Shinjuku Line, and there are many supermarkets and restaurants nearby, so I was very pleased with the location. The hotel is really nice, we had this trip over the winter and it felt really good going on the room and it was warm. The bed and sheets were really confortable. There is also an onsen at the hotel which is very handy.
Overall it was great experience, love the hot bathup! I wish the hotel nearer to the train station.
The accommodation was very clean, and there were plenty of toilets on both floors. The 24-hour showers use a push-button auto-shutoff system, which was a bit inconvenient. The location is a ten-minute walk from the station, but it's a straight and easy path. All the facilities were well-equipped.
There aren't many places to stay at this price within the 23 wards of Tokyo, so I think the advantage is that you can stay at a low price while not being too far from the city center.
Remote area, budget option. Friendly staff. It's okay for a hostel; the building is old. There's air conditioning in the room, and the bed is comfortable enough, but not very wide.
I was glad to find a place to stay in Tokyo at this price. There was also a hot spring, so I was able to get a good night's sleep.

It's an okay, pretty standard hotel. The main drawback is that it's not very close to the station.
Exceeded my expectations! The bedding was super comfortable, the room was spacious and bright with a great view. The overall environment and cleanliness were excellent. My child enjoyed the breakfast and mentioned it was good. The location is also very convenient for transportation and dining.
The location is a bit far from the train station; you have to exit from C6 and then walk a bit. There's an elevator directly to the front desk. The front desk staff were very welcoming, the overall environment was decent, and breakfast was alright. However, the room facilities are quite old, and the towels are a bit stiff.
The room is small but well-designed, allowing me to open my suitcase comfortably. The location is great, close to Ikebukuro subway station, and there are plenty of restaurants downstairs. The front desk staff can speak Chinese. Although check-in is officially at 4 PM, they let me check in at 3:30 PM. You can also store your luggage if you arrive early.
The room was very clean, the bed comfortably accommodated two people, and the front desk service was also excellent.
All staffs are very kind to customers, warm welcome to all visitors.

I like this hotel. The staffs are friendly (except 1 person, i think he is the owner hmmm maybe that's just character). The hotel is quite nice and clean :)
It's difficult for me to be objective when my stay was made excellent by so many different things, but I'll try. The staff speak enough English to help you settle in. Their attitude towards foreigners is also really nice. You can't expect to have an in-depth conversation about movies, but you can expect to be treated with respect and valued as a guest. You will not be made to feel stupid for not knowing...
Kind staffs. One of them are fluently speaking English. I think I got what they called Western-styled bedroom. It got two beds, which makes the room quite small. But I don't really care about the spaces since all I did in here is sleeping and when I woke up I back looking around Japan, lol. It also has a private bathroom. Small, but I think it's still okay. There's a shower, bathtub, normal toilet...
Cheep and cheerful, the traditional bedding is warm and comfortable enough and a good experience for a tourist. Minimal services in the room, and Very little space as is to be expected. No smoking rooms offered. Clean, interesting and central location with a temple, amusement park, and stations in easy walking
Nice hotel. Was clean and taken care of. Good for a place to crash for few nights. Only downside is that in some rooms theres no place to unpack your luggage, youd have to do it all on the matres. English lvl of staff is poor.
Perfect place. You can go to Sensoji temple by walk about 5-10 minutes and Asakusa Subway Station for 30 minutes. The crew is very friendly and understand english. But the bathroom is so small and not so clean.

A charming and ideally located hotel. The location is truly a major asset! The rooms are modestly sized (which is common in most hotels in Japan), but everything was impeccably clean (you'll find complimentary towels and toiletries at reception). But the biggest advantage is the price, which is particularly attractive for this area (just a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Temple).
A self service inn but you can find all you need. Very thoughtful. Beside the size, which is all the same all around Japan, all the service are very convenient for tourist.
Positives: - great location - clean room and bathroom - lots of handy items that can be taken from the front (towels, hygiene items etc) Negatives: - small room - weird and funky smell in the room - only one key for a four night stay
The single-bed room was small, and the window was looking into the concrete wall of the adjacent building, which was a bit depressing. However, overall it was clean and had all necessities, and location was good

The place is very nice!! You room is private. You share the bathrooms and shower. Its very clean. The staff is very helpful and nice. Most of them speak English Just note that there’s no elevator. So if you have a heavy suitcase and you’re on the 4th floor you may need to work up your muscles
Friendly staff, nice kitchen and shower area. Stayed in 6 tatami Japanese style room, good for 2 people (couple), would definitely come back given the chance. Staff speaks English really well so no problem with communication, also super helpful. We had to reroute our wifi delivery and also sent our luggage out, staff was very helpful.
The key to Shibamata FU-TEN Bed and Local in my opinion is knowing what to expect. Accommodation here is very reasonably priced. The kitchen, bathrooms and showers are immaculately kept. Rooms are somewhat small yet more than reasonable for the price. Great place just outside of Tokyo if you're looking for cheap yet quality. It was such a pleasure for me to stay in this hostel. The staff is the best you can find and the atmosphere is amazing. I met such a great people here during my Japan journey and I've to say thanks to Anne hostel. Rooms are ok, toilets too.
Super clean and comfortable hostel. They hook you up with tons of blankets, hot showers, and a solid free breakfast along with tea whenever you want. My only complaint would be how small the lockers are but I was able to keep my things on the shelf above my bed. I would definitely stay here again. Also the staff were super helpful and kind
I've stayed here many times over many year. It was lovely coming back here. Friendly, very helpful and friendly staff. And breakfast is a good and simple way to start the day. Also The thin foam mattresses have been so over used that they offer no support and left me with...
Great location. Staff is very friendly and speaks English. Place is very easy to find with a few signs indicating youth hostel (using google maps will get you there.)
