This is a truly beautiful ski resort, perfect for families. It offers all-inclusive accommodations and activities, saving you the hassle of traveling back and forth. It's a must-visit every year. The hotel isn't right in the heart of Umeda, but on the upside, it's much quieter. It's about a 10-minute walk to Hankyu and a 15-minute walk to Hanshin, which is totally acceptable. The InterContinental Osaka is, without a doubt, the best hotel I've ever stayed in when it comes to service. The housekeeping is virtually perfect; even the toiletries and skincare products on the bathroom counter are artfully arranged. This hotel is a must-stay when visiting Hokkaido! It's well-equipped with a fantastic public bath, and after a soak, you can enjoy free ice cream or a variety of complimentary drinks downstairs. The location is super convenient, just a short walk to the subway station and Tanukikoji shopping street. The airport bus stop is also nearby, which is a huge plus! 👍

The hotel is located in Kirishima, making it convenient to drive to Kagoshima and Sakurajima. The lobby has a great design, the room was clean and tidy, and the service was attentive. Parking can be a bit tight near the main building.

Room was clean and spacy with great view of ocean and mountain. It takes a bit longer time for checking in than expected.

First, we loved the onsen and its services, where we soaked in three pools of different temperatures, sweated in a sauna, then alternately cooled ourselves in cold baths. Second, room services were excellent despite its furnishings seemed to be run down a bit. Third, its location is central to travel most places of interest, which spreads out in Kagoshima Prefecture.

There's a convenience store right opposite the hotel, which was super handy. Since I was staying in Omiya, I also popped over to Kasukabe to see the Crayon Shin-chan exhibits. The station is about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. Luggage lockers at Omiya station are 800 yen each, or you can leave your bags at the hotel, though that means a bit of a trek back and forth.

It was an amazing stay. The onsen is clean and spacious. Rooms are spacious too for Japan. The lighting is on point. Water pressure in the shower is great and loved the scent of their hotel bath gels and shampoo. There are water filters to refill water and small washers/dryers at several floors.

Traveling to Kyoto with my family, choosing to stay here was definitely the right decision. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Kyoto Station, which is incredibly convenient. It's close to Tenma Station, making it convenient for sightseeing and travel. The Tenma Station shopping street is the longest in Japan and has many unique shops, making it a fun place to visit any time of the day. Personally, I prefer walking around Dotonbori or Tsutenkaku.
