Gorgeous, well appointed rooms. Incredible, professional, helpful staff

We booked three rooms and stayed four nights
I wish we could add more stars.
We will be back again and again

Room was very clean and spacious. Great shower! Every night the staff close the curtains and leave a little dessert which is a nice touch. My only feedback is the beach needs more umbrellas for shade and sometimes the sulphur smell on the beach is quite strong. Staff are kind and helpful.

I had an amazing stay at Tago Hotel! The staff was incredibly attentive, especially Andrea, who answered all my questions in English since I don’t speak Spanish. She truly made everything easy and welcoming.

The food at Tago was delicious, and the nightly dessert delivered to our room was such a special touch—we looked forward to it every evening. The restaurant that’s part of Tago, right on the beach, was perfect for our beach days. The views were the best on the beach, hands down. The whole place has a quaint, boutique feel while still offering all the big-hotel amenities.

We also loved the restaurant Fara Fara. They made sure to get to know us, checked on us constantly, and the service was amazing. The food was the best—everything wholesome and cooked on the grill. We tried the ceviche, fish, steak, and the potatoes, sweet potatoes, and carrots… all absolutely to die for. Joshua and Rick were incredible.

Overall, Tago Hotel exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to return!

This was our first trip to tulum, and without a doubt, if we return, we are going to tago tulum again! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, it is calm and peaceful, the rooms are stunning, very clean, and can't forget the staff too! - they are all so welcoming, attentive, friendly and helpful. We ended up staying for dinner and breakfast way more times than expected because we loved the vibes, the service and the food so so much!! Perfect hotel if you ask me! Thank you Tago!

We loved the hotel and the room very beautiful bathroom and private pool. The customer service from the hotel was extremely poor, they tried to make us pay 500 pesos per day for bikes when next door they were 200. We feel like they didn’t care and all they wanted was our money. Very dissapointed by the hotel staff and service and for the price we paid we expected so much more.

Piece and quiet; stunning views, clean room, super responsive staff and stunning sunrises right out of my windows

Staff were great, our family of 3 had a great time. Really relaxing. the rooms are awesome.

A good friend of mine said it best: "Cancun is just another US state" - its a shame that Tulum in general is so expensive. To come from Sydney and find that food and drink is basically the same price as back home is a bit disappointing. If we go to Mexico again it will have to be a not so touristy part.
24.10.2025 Ryan
The food here was very overpriced for the mediocre quality, especially breakfast. The sargassum on the beach was creating an unpleasant odor. I understand that it is impossible to control nature however if there would have been minimal effort by staff a lot of it could have been cleaned up and the beach could have been enjoyable. The service received while at the beach was poor. In sum I don’t think I would stay here again.

Phenomenal accommodations. The most delicious breakfast food and authentic Italian pastas with gluten free options! The service is top notch and the view is breathtaking! My favorite place in Tulum hands down!

One of the most charming place. So well done. As soon as you take your first step. Your in the world. Just fabulous. And the food was fresh and prefect. The Shop was perfection. A real
View of Tulum. Great place. And most stop.

Beautiful restaurant with unique decor compared to others in the area. We ordered drinks at the bar and enjoyed them outside on the beach. The beach chairs, incredibly bright stars, and delicious drinks make for a great experience. Will be back to try more of the food as I only had a couple of bites here and there and the pasta was a little overcooked for my taste.

Appreciated the great vibes of this place. The decor created an awesome atmosphere. The wait staff was polite and when it started raining they were very helpful to keep us dry.

The food was above average. Pasta in Tulum is not expected and it was good. I️ had the lobster special which was ~$40. The pasta was really good, but the lobster was average.

Without a doubt would come back.

I could recomend the 4 cheese pizza

nice food. whach out for the currency rates
14.06.2017 Justin
Good pizza on a cracker-thin crust (making it feel more like a starter than a meal). Prices for the pizza are reasonable (especially for Tulum beach) but the cocktails were outrageously priced almost as high as the pizza. Didn't even bother to get one so can't attest to their quality. The location on the noisy road right in front of a topé pretty much kills the experience.

Great pizza! Right out of a wood burning oven, thin and crispy! Highly recommend this place. Service was great too.

Pizza was exceptional and probably the best we had in tulum. Pasta was good as well. Went twice in five days.

More expensive than NYC or London for a cocktail. Only cash. Bad service. Tasteless food. Street noise and smell.
Across the street hotel Tata is cheaper, better tasting and has ocean views.

Very disappointing. Pork of the day was not good, too much gristle and fat and came in a soup with tiny slice of potato, hungry soon after. Pointed out the issue with the pork but waitress not interested and just removed the plate. Husband's meatballs much better but just not worth the cost and the service was completely non-attentive. We went as a special meal for our last night in Tulum. We had a cocktail to start, food arrived, we ate it and left. No other service offered at all unless you count a lollipop with the bill. Expected much more.

We had the catch of the day (snapper) and pork of the day (pibil) along with ceviche app. Loved the authentic flavorful sauces and delicious large serving of fresh ceviche. Service was great. Glad we tried this after a friend's recommendation.
02.09.2017 Patrick
Food is way too expensive for being just about decent. Especially compared to restaurants from downtown Tulum (this holds true for all places near the beach I have tried). 19 € for fish in green pumpkin seed sauce which ended up way too salty and 6 € for a small salad (we are in Mexico btw).

The second star I give for the personnel which was quite friendly. The relation of quality of food and price would be straight up one star.
26.08.2017 Pierre
We just had the starters, crepas de huitlacoche y crunchy guacamole salad. Both were super fresh and tasty. Pricey, compared to non beach restaurants, but still affordable.
